wtf it’s getting to the point where it’s cheaper to buy a flight ticket to spring training and get them to sign whatever you want vs a box of cards… gambling addiction is real
You might as well go buy lotto tickets if you are trying to get the Brady. I had gambling problems before with poker and blackjack and have left that behind. After getting in on these breaks i see it is no different. Good luck and good riddance.
Because some schmuck puts a bounty of 500k that gets passed down to us? Yeah, hard pass as well they can eat that. Matter of fact I'll pass on buying bowman ever again.
Just this morning I picked up a zac gallen rpa /49 from National Treasures for $12. The same thrill people get from opening packs I get from finding deals. Glad more and more people are realizing these boxes are a rip off.
Wow that was terrible. Total rip-off. Nothing but dollar box auto’s. This kinda product has got to stop or the hobby is done!! It simply can’t last expecting everyday people to spend this kinda money!! $600 for 3 dollar box autos?!?!? We gotta demand to be treated better.
I love this hobby but I'M DONE buying boxes every week. Prices are absolutely ridiculous. Im gonna stick with buying vintage. But Ill GLADLY watch ya open new stuff =)
Sheesh how much disposable income do your patreon members have? A box of those is half my rent lol and 90% of the players in the checklist won't be worth a damn in a few years
So far, every Bowman Draft package has been complete garbage and horribly overpriced. Thanks Jabs for giving us all a sneak peek on this, but I'm gonna pass 🤷♂️
I wouldn't pay 6 cents for all the cards in all SIX of those $600 boxes. Those players are rancid. It is like getting cards of fans in the audience. Worthless.
No, thanks. I would take a jumbo box over this all day long. All those bass and chrome first cards you would get will be worth money down the line for sure. This is a complete and total rip off.
Its only going up in price bc the Tom Brady bounty is still alive with everything that has been opened. I hope it gets pulled soon so the prices go back to normal.
Getting gouged with these products. $600 for (at this moment) probably $25 tops in value. WTF is Topps/Fanatics doing with this? $600 for 3 cards they ALL need to be short printed at the least. Brutal.
Thank goodness for the current awesome economy that we can all afford to get these. If I only had to pay $29.95 Like in the 80s, that would be awesome. How can retired people still afford to pay 3500+ for those 18 cards?
$200 bucks a card for players that most won't even see the majors? What a ripoff. Sorry Jabs not even close to good value. If I got a "big hit" I would sell it quick before it crashes in price
And he originally was mad at himself for NOT picking up more of these boxes. But still understandable, even though alot of people are mad at Topps for prices etc, there's more than enough people with money to burn to keep opening.
The reason I quit collecting modern cards. Probably way over printed and way over priced . I feel sorry for the people put insane money into the hobby to get pennies out
I’ve been involved of some huge breaks of these in the past (multiple cases in each instance) and I’ve noticed that the oranges and the true blues hit very consistently in hta. And those happen to be 2 of the most popular parallels, year in and year out. I think that’s a lot of the reason they’re more expensive. Also, odds on the Brady auto are a lot better in hta than any other format, probably because parallels are more prevalent than base autos and the highest number Brady auto is numbered to 50. In a few years, these sealed boxes will be worth A TON, even with the Brady superfractor already being pulled, simply cuz almost none will make it that long unopened.
Great video! Nice set, but this is why I only go after singles from sets like this. Can get singles of what players you want for a lot of time less than what a box costs. If I’m taking a chance on prospects, I’m buying singles for $3-$15 vs $600 for the same amount of value. And I always wait a few weeks before doing that as prices usually fall. Thanks for sharing!
