@@johtojonny lewtwube anywhere after April would make it the longest Pokemon game and development since black and white which was in development for like 4 years. Makes this an extra spicy combo is that this is also a pseudo successor to Arceus so they can also utilize assets in a more convincing way

Not with mainline, anyway. But I do think Nintendo desperately wants something substantial for their Switch 2 launch since they won't have a Zelda game ready in time, and Pokemon is a perfect way to do that since Mario has become oversaturated and Metroid isn't big enough fanbase-wise

Mainline Pokemon games yes but Mystery Dungeon released on the Gameboy Advance and DS at the same time which was also their highest selling (even to this day) Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Game, not to mention Gamefreak is not really a "get straight into the new console" company as with Black and White 2 they released that game on the original DS almost a year AFTER the 3DS was launched. If you release 2 games on both consoles, you get the advantage on being on a widely owned, already known platform you've worked on before, and also get to be the front runner on the new console so to not leave people who upgrade to the Switch 2 without a pokemon game. Could also explain why the release window and development window is so large compared to most recent Pokemon games since if they are deving for bothing consoles, they'd need extra time and manpower.

Yes! I'm hoping it's a holiday release for PLZA cuz that's a good amount of time to cook, and I hope 2026 sees them either do dlc for PLZA or nothing at all so gen 10 can have cooking time too!

Nintendo wants all prime 4 sales to come from Switch 1 so we wont see DLSS uograde for switch 2 till fall 2025. Mario 3d game launches Switch 2. Holiday 2025 game is Ocarana of Time 4k. All evergreen tittles are getting DLSS upgrades througj expansion pass on switch 2 thru NSO. Console will be 400$ . The direct in sept 2024 has switch current family of consoles with price cuts and bundled in games.

Pokemon Dash was a DS launch title, and only as of the Switch has Pokemon reached sales numbers comparable to Red and Blue so they def might want it
