FLAT OUT AMAZING!. I have had the beta downloaded for a while now but usually use the regular version. Yesterday I spend 3 hours restoring a 98 year old circuit camera print. (Circuit cameras used a moving lens and created very large panorama prints. Typically 8 inches by over 30 inches) After watching this video I went back to my original scan. In a matter of a few minutes I had much of the heavy work done and better than before. In my almost 60 years restoring photos nothing has ever gotten me as excited as this tool. Thank you for showing the Photoshop world this great new tool.

This feature is INSANE!! I just opened up an image that I have been struggling with for months. It's a great composition, fantastic colors, but when I took the picture I didn't see the trash can that was visible over my subject's shoulder. Using this new remove tool, it was fixed it in less than 10 seconds. Wow!!!!

Wow! I first used Photoshop in it’s first version way back in the 1980’s. From all the selections and “retouch painting” to now automatically delete an object…. Just amazing.

One of the things that gave me joy about this video is seeing you genuinely happy while painting over the image and seeing how well it did, for those of us who spend time editing it's truly amazing seeing how fun a "job" can actually get and inspire us to keep doing these instead of getting frustrated over the time spent correcting stuff. Hope to see more content and keep learning from you! Thank you for all the effort you put into everything you do.

This new tool is so cool! I think that, combined with the other removal and fixing tools we already have, like clone stamp, content aware, etc, it'll really help to make editing process a lot easier! Another cool thing in my opinion is the fact that it gives people options, like how you have different options for doing lighting adjustments for example! I think having this diversity of options will allow people to really grow creatively as they learn photoshop

During my training as a master copy maker in 1989, I learned to use very expensive and, at the time, ultra-modern image processing systems from Linotype-Hell, which were not even capable of creating a smooth gradient in a cutout. If we had even the slightest idea where this would lead! Photoshop was just smiled at back then!

Even if the tool (in a full release version of PS) can get rid of most of the object, that's a huge bonus. I mean you can then either continue to use the tool or resort to other tools to remove other things. This will also be helpful in removing shadows too, which I think is perhaps one of the more complicated things to do and/or one that would require different techniques like luminosity masking, among other things. I think this is where the value of the $10 per month subscription really shows (yes it's a subscription but as of this writing, PS/LR bundle is still $10). Hopefully this feature does make its way to the release version of PS (I am still on the fence about installing betas, having been a software developer myself -- they can cause stability issues so I don't bother with them anymore). But I have dozens of photos I've sort of held onto, but am "stuck" with for things that this tool could probably fix fairly easily, such as fences or other more complex distractions or subjects I want to remove. I have to say that this may replease the spot healing brush tool, as one of it's biggest "quirks" was when you wanted to remove something that intersected an edge (like a powerline or a pole in the ground). Sometimes the spot healing brush tool or spot removal tool would n't do the job, and you'd have to use both the spot healing brush AND other tools (like the clone stamp tool) but it seems this one tool will replace a few others in many people's workflows. But as you showed in the last part, it's not a do-all tool either (some of the existing tools may work better for some situations) but for what you showed earlier (which some can be complex and time consuming removals) it speeds things and creates a more convincing result (sometimes requiring a little repair but I think some people would be OK with that considering what it CAN do and the amount of time it probably will save people, especially with complex removals like people.).

You know, some people will maintain that perpetual licensing is cheaper in the long run than the SaaS model, mainly because upgrades aren't forced. It may cut down or discourage piracy, but many legit licensed users would skip an upgrade or three, just to save the two or three hundred dollars. SaaS forces hardware and OS compliance, sometimes making it more costly in the long run. Not everyone, except for accomplished professionals, can or will run out every year and buy the latest greatest hardware and OS version. Furthermore, with Photoshop especially, there is the issue of OS support (or lack thereof). People with older hardware will run legacy versions, and those with Linux are out of luck, except for alternatives like Gimp, Affinity, etc... not to say I mind the SaaS; I don't - but many do. About 20 years ago, friends were telling me that SaaS was coming soon, and I didn't believe them. Shame on me. :O

I am just learning about this now!! Wow, I need to make a point of watching your channel more often. Anyway, THANK YOU!!! This tool is ultra helpful. An epic addition to the removal tool is to build a composite of the removed item. It's like two processes in one. For example, in your video, you removed the woman; it would be epic if the removed woman were reconstructed with a transparent BG on its own layer.

Ok I'm really mind blown. I downloaded and tested it and it's really amazing and for once with an Adobe product it actually works as advertised even on some really hard photos.. I saved myself 5 to 10 mins removing the tripod reflection in a weirdly shaped bathtub faucet and in just two clicks I got a literal perfect result. I would have taken at least 5 mins to do anything close to that result, and that's if I'm not messing up.. So yeah thanks mate for that video and thanks Adobe for this feature, I'm gonna save so much time from now on its ridiculous
