I have had one for 3 weeks now and already I WOULD NOT go back to ICE, every time I go past the petrol station and see it's £1.35 a litre I think YEP you did the right thing.
Good review. I bought Zoè R135 as a sporty hatch with rapid CCS DC 50 kw charging and fast AC 22kw charging.as I go to west Cork and charging points are few in Schull. Firm driving in town, economic 100kph cruise, useful gadgets with Android Auto. G
We had a great time taking an older rental ZOE around England last year, so 52kWh and CCS would make it exceptional at the price. Thanks for another excellent review!
@@NevoEVReviewIreland They're motors use externally excited magnets which can convert the power to dc for the battery. Nissan, Tesla and pretty much every other EV manufacturer use motors with permanent magnets. The 87Kw Ariya being released mid 21 in Japan Dec 21 here will have 22Kw in Europe as both companies will be sharing motors with each other. Renault will release there own version based on the CMF-EV platform.

I've chatted with Jan-Bart Spang (his RU-vid channel is his name). He's just taken delivery of the new ZOE and had the Bose system. He said "I've only been in the new Zoe with the Bose so I can't compare with a none Bose model but if the old Zoe is anything to go by there won't be much of a difference for most unless you're a audiophile.. 🙂"
@@NevoEVReviewIreland for a young driver it doesn't sound appealing.. don't get me Wrong it's a nice car :) but going to your friend's and go I'm driving a Zoe... Rather then I'm driving a fiesta.. or ST or something like that yanno.. :)
@@NevoEVReviewIreland well that's interesting News, I mean R5 I guess it's naturally sounds better ( no disrespect to the name Zoe) it's just sounds more girlish and I know a lot of young drivers turned their noise up at one (pathetic I know..) me including.. but it just goes to show you name a car / give it good looks and you can sell it way better, for example the new Hyundai I20n sound's a little werid but it just flows.. That's some interesting news thanks man 😌 I do like the Renault Zoe as a car and what it's capable off just wish it looks more better and the name.. let's hope the replacement is the same If not better than this car.
I have been driving the 50 for a year, and I have never got more than 350 km, even whith temp. around 20 C. 400 must be on a test track whith flat surface, no hills. In the wintertime maxs 150.
This car is a city car with occasional motors driving. A £30,000 price tag is far to expensive for this car and Renault are trading on the increased charging range which they say is 260 miles on a full charge. This is probably near the 260 miles on a lovely hot summers day at 22 degrees C but in winter when the air temperature is down below 5 degrees c a full charge may achieve 160 miles if your lucky. The car front seats can’t be adjusted for height both passenger and drivers seats. The head restraints can’t be removed as they are an integral part of the seat. The rear windows are not mechanically able to slide down as there is no rear windows winding mechanism. Oh one other important point the fast charging feature is not available on some trim levels, but if you need this feature you must pay a further £1,000 on the price of the car. The only thing that is available to open the rear windows is a clasp system, how antiquated. Renault you know this car is grossly overpriced and the £30,000 price tag is just related to the 260 mile fully charged feature. The British general public understands this and your sales for this car will not be very good. This is just a city car and at £30,000 there are much better cars out there at this price tag.
Depends what you are comparing it to and if you are financing. To buy outright it's about £10k more than a top spec'd Clio, but for PCP/PCH deals when I was looking it worked out about the same monthly payment. Once you took fuel costs into consideration the Zoe came out cheaper than the Clio. Not sure what you mean about the windows. Ours has electric windows front and back.
@@northerndrone8952 I know I didn't get what he was harping on about with the rear windows, mine are fully electric and go all the way down, it also does really well on the motorway if you don't drive it like you think you're Lewis Hamilton, I love it I wouldn't go back now especially when I drive past the Tesco petrol station with queues and £1.35 a litre.
