Bro i thought a sprinting monty would be a literal backrooms monster, but then i realized its only when his shield is unextended so it makes him much more normal now
@@gabecollins5585 Recruit is essentially overpowered, secondary gadget are really good most of the time compared to operator main gadgets which are mostly situational and recruit can bring 2. Also, since recruit can be picked by multiple people you can see why that can be a problem (i.e the amount of secondary gadget used), that and pros can and will abuse the living shit out of recruit.
@@deadrixhanon1776 Will they ever add recruit back? You could have an lmg and two gadgets or whatever basically so yeah it’s powerful I suppose. Being recruit with an lmg was so fun.
They should definitely do an arcade mode where you play tennis with shields. Players would stop matchmaking for ranked and play that instead all the time.
I really like this idea, but I feel like it kinda makes Blitz just a less good Monte. Maybe to give Blitz something, he can be immune to the suppression mechanic, allowing him to still be a more aggressive option?
@stcknoobs5516 Flash wouldnt be enough as the nerf is his kill potential. His ads speed is slow like other shields and knockdowns mean they can fifht back. I believe an increase to his ads speed and a stronger pistol would be perfect for him
I think most of the shield changes are good, but idk how I feel about letting them all sprint with their shields still up. That was one of the things that really set Blitz apart from other shield Ops. So, if they all can do that now, it makes him feel less unique and he no longer feels like the distinctive, aggressive shield Op he was designed to be. The entire point of Blitz as a shield op (as far as I know), is that he was supposed to be the more aggressive option. But with these changes, it feels like both Monty and Fuze can fill that same, aggressive role. I guess Ubi could make it to where Blitz received less of this new suppression mechanic, allowing him to still be aggressive while being shot at. But, that would bring back the 'hidden' abilities that some Ops had in the past that Ubi has been moving away from.
@@Livid_kaden Bruh, who is complaining? I point out one possible, minor issue (which I didn't even say was good or bad) amongst the mirade of other positive reworks to shields and I'm suddenly complaining? How about instead, you take a step back, look past the initial hype and actually try to view these changes objectively?
I´m a monty main since red crow and felt like shields got nerfed a tad too much the last seasons. This is a refreshing approach and I quite like it. It puts monty in the role he's supposed to be in, support. Its gonna be very tough to clutch up against two defenders without the ability to knife
I like the free look but they shouldn’t replace the hip fire entirely just map a new button or something and the secondary deployment from behind the shield is cool. Also love the oryx dash knife change
The hip fire is the main reason everyone was so anti shield, you couldn't hit a good shield player and they could potentially drop you with a single shot...
It took me so long to realise “Monty” was “Montaigne”. Now I’m all for this. When I used to play rainbow he was my main, so it’s nice to see him get updated
most of these are solid only prob may be if they are all like 2 speed now along with the shield up sprint. blitz makes sense as his flash radius is smaller n he needs the close gap but monty and the rest should at least be slightly slower or scale supression a bit differently maybe some guns trigger stun quicker or longer duration of stun (they look quick in vid idk if thats accurate). and no hipfire is a nice balance but doesnt make sense from the games style of play
If they going to have to give blitz something if the other sheild ops get the good thing about his tiny sheild (taking about the run due to the fact blitz was a 2 speed and ran with his sheild up encouraging him to rush)
Tbh, I think having both the sprinting ability AND the safe shield bash is not very balanced. Meleeing with shield before use to expose your body but now with this shield bash you can take someone out with pretty much no risk. I feel like the only good way to have the shield bash + shield sprint ability (which I think is awesome) is if it had an animation similar to previous shield melee where it exposed your body for a moment. It would be wack because this new animation fits what happens perfectly but I would much prefer shield sprinting over the safe shield bash. (Because remember, you also have to DEAL with this as well, not just use it yourself) and if you want both, it needs to be balanced. And yes, while melee doesn’t knock like it use to, it’s still really powerful in 1 on 1 situations. Even a two on one situation because the shield can stun one down and shoot the other if they’re good enough. They still have a shield blocking a lot of their body while they shoot at the end of the day.
Oryx style knock back is definitely better than insta deletion when they hit you, now you can shoot their legs, or melee them back and knock it to the side... it's not gonna be as OP as people think it will honestly
