I like it, however I prefer the method that I’m using with 3 Prusiks, 2 wooden toggles on two of the prusiks, 1 toggle attached to the ridge line to use with the bowline, and the last toggle to use with the third prusik to tighten the line, it is made and ready to deploy, this new method of yours looks great and I may try it…. Between you, Blackie, Dave Canterbury (with some tricks from Felix Immler's friend) and Frank Bush (just popped into my feed for the first time), there is a lot of innovation going on. I have to admit this one is the simplest yet since it as the least amount of knots and all beginner knots at that. BTW, I believe this is a double overhand loop, a figure 8 is a bit different but they probably both have very similar properties when it comes to durability of your line...

Excellent device with minimal work. Great for locking down a sort of trucker's hitch or for hanging equipment. It is stable and solid. I worked up a slightly different way to tie it that is more like a lark's head on the bight. That should be easier for me to remember. I saw this on Blackie's site first and his presentation is also excellent. I'll be using it on my next camping trip.

Being former U.S. Navy, I appreciate this trick! For the longest time i just tied 4 bowlines in my ridgeline. two facing inwards for my hammock, and two outwards to act as a permanent trucker's hitch. Once I got my distances right, I stopped having to think about it as I set up camp. There is an ancient part of me that really likes the cleat idea though... So many ways that can be used! 1) To attach a whiteboard for instruction. 2) To begin a horizontal spider's web (using a few of the cleats) for a fun platmorn/trampoline thingy. 3) To offset the attachment point for a four tree hammock setup. Much appreciate your videos!

My brother and family are off to England to hike a long footpath through Wales. My niece just graduated from high school and I got her a 3mx3m tarp to take on the trip. I will teach this to them before they go t get rained on in Wales. Thanks!

While at an A.M.M. Eastern Rendezvous I discovered a similar system I still use for rigging up my diamond fly. I use a simple overhand knot and loop on 1 end of my ridge line and wrap my hemp rope several times around the other tree and a loose stick. I then circle the stick several times like a boat cleat and secure as needed. .... Jeff in Lebanon OH.

Nice idea, but: it is easier to use a toggle with one hole in the middle on the first anker point. Then you do not have to put the whole line through the loop. At the second Anker point you should use a toggle with two holes (instead of the two 7 notches). This works in the same way to tighten the ridge line. The toggles can stay on the ridge line and you can slide them where yon need them to be.
@WayPointSurvival

Clearly you saw all the others guys making please Ridgeline videos after Dave Canterbury drills holes in the wood. I like the way he does it if you don't mind carrying sticks. As part of a permanent kit. But I like your way as a minimalist if you just want to carry a Ridgeline in your pocket without all the sticks. Because let's face it takes you everywhere out in the woods. You have a great idea. I'll be waiting for Blackie's video to drop
