appreciate the info on their customer service. says alot how they treat their customers replying near closing time and taking their time replying only after handing them the money
They ship like that to protect the face of the wheels where most would wonder why they don’t ship box for box. I’ve just never seen tape used as we use straps as tape can come apart.
@@RandomLongVideos no, you mount tires on wheels. And wheels have rims. But the thing itself is not called a rim unless you are specifically speaking about that part of the wheel.
Good luck keeping them clean I get sooo much break dust on mine and it takes me like almost 10 minutes to clean each wheel because of all the tight spaces
Hey man. So, did you pay them to re bore the centers to 74.1mm? Because if they did, your offset is too high for the E39. You need low 20’s, mid teens to make an 18x9 work. If your offset is above 30 you’re most likely hitting on a the shock tube itself and the wheel will look very sunken with the coil overs from the previous video. You may want some 74.1 to 74.1 spacers. I’d recommend 12-15mm.
Yes, I did pay them to bore out the center. I have sent the rims back and I am waiting on them to actually bore out the rims. As for the offset, 34 is too high. But they did not make them with any other offset for these particular rims, so I just have to deal with it. At the time of buying the rims, I did not know the center of the width is how they measure how wide the rim is. So from edge to edge, my rims are 10" wide. You are correct in the fact that even just the little bit I was able to fit the wheel to the hub, it was hitting the front coilover. So I had planned on getting some spacers, I am just waiting to get the rims back before I buy them. I will definitely be making an update video once I get everything squared away.
I have the JNC 004's 16x8 on my Z31, BBS knock offs,without the 6k price tag. Hey it's a z31 not a old m3 or 911. I love them, I run 15mm spacers on front 25mm on rear.
Great video bud. Let me ask you something, if your car's hub ring is 61 and the wheels bore is 70 for example, would that be a problem and should you run those rings around the bore of the hub to center the wheel or can you run them without them? Take care and thumbs up on your video buddy.
Thanks. I wouldn't recommend it, I feel like that would be putting a lot of stress on the lug bolts. 9mm seems like a pretty big size difference there, so if you can find the correct rings to put on your hub, I'd recommend going that route.
@@e39tech55 got you I ordered some and I don't wanna mount them and have them bust on me soon haha and I mean you can't really do a 1 year vid if they've been stored haha but thanks for the reply!
