Sweet video man! I got a question, what makes a paddle a river running paddle or a play boat paddle? Is it the surface area? I’m looking into getting a new paddle my powerhouse has about 2 inches gone.
River running paddles are usually wide flat blade with more curve in the blade not good at backstrokes and bon power face loads play paddles ideally have a down tilt blade with a good non power face for loading the blade look at the difference between the Werner player and the powerhouse that’s good comparison
No I have not done anything on the Jed I have paddled one but I’m not into the spud type boats at this point I have paddled few and do like working a good hole but just not interested that much now
@@WadeHarrison cool cool! I just picked on up and have been watching vids about them. And I found myself a little disappointed I couldn’t find one by you 😭😂🤟🏽
@@DownstreamV how do you like the varun? I paddle a 2010 pyranha recoil small (I am 5'5" and 135 lbs) and love it still to this day...I almost thought you were paddling a recoil for a minute there. I knew it wasn't an ozone once I saw the pronounced edge like on my recoil and your varun.
@@mountainhobbit1971 I love the varun and for your weight you would really like it. Stern squirts and stalls very well and can still cartwheel and loop as well. Its very edgy on downriver though and somewhat slow I like that design over the ozone for sure. Its an older boat and if you can find one most of the time its pretty cheap.
