Congratulations! Love that you also have a ramp for your senior! My husband built a ramp for our senior at home and we bought a ramp for the truck. Pups add so much to daily life!
They certainly do! Our pups really seem to enjoy the RVife and exploring new places, but having all familiarity of their creature comforts: beds, bowls, etc. They bring so much joy and laughter to our home! Thank you for your encouraging words 😍

I would like to mention the Road Armor is a Lippert product not MORryde. The gray water dump switch should be in a outside lockable recessed area. As for rear deck, Brinkley should include and manual awning with side supports with partial side rain tarps. ..... No, No, on your higher sink spout.....will splash more water on counter top behind. This why it cam be pushed out of the way. .....just a few area's I though worth mentioning. ...Oh, beware of the puase mode using a new shower nozzle along with your ON Demand Water heater .
Thank you for the correction on the road armor. With the edition of the locked cover on the back grey water switch, so far we haven't found this to be an issue. The rear awning comes with side supports. Out of curiosity, why beware of a pause mode on the shower? Thanks for watching and commenting!
I've heard that the Brinkley makes one of the better quality campers.And after watching this video I can see that is true.I see a lot more quality than other Brands.

Yes! We were pretty frustrated with the dealer for only giving us one. We have already upgraded our battery to an Epoch. This one lithium battery is far better than our 2 lead acid batteries combined. Thanks for watching and congrats on your 3100! We hope you'll join us on our journey!
This is the most thorough tour I've yet seen!! Great work! Beautiful rig! I absolutely love that deck! There are some things I question about new RVs. We had a 2013 Rockwood travel trailer that had beautiful Corian counters and beautiful real solid Hickory cabinets. Not any heavier than the fake Corian or MDF fake wood cabinets. All the nice upgrades they included in your Brinkley are great!! I am in agreement with you on the mirrored doors, especially on such and unusable location- its solely for making appearance of space. TIP: You can get window film to make the mirrored doors look really cool!

We just got our 3400Z about two weeks using it, we also move out of an older and small unit, loving the ‘Brinkley, we did. Add the washer and dryer, make life so much easier. We are not full timers but we are spending 3-4 months on the road. When on deck you get a lot of question ask form the walkers…

@@todayisouradventure we came from portland Oregon to KY to get the 3400Z, nobody had them in Portland area, And they were asking a lot more for them and giving less for our old one, we are in TX now heading back to MO, Have BBQ a couple times on back deck, you said you have not tried your Oven, ours will only stay lit for 5 min.s and goes out,, they have a new value we just have to fine time to get it installed. But everything else is Great.
Love the BBQ on the back patio! We've had breakfast out on the patio a few times and I swear, everything tastes better cooked outside! 😊 Since this tour video, we tried our oven and worked surprisingly well! So sorry you're having trouble with yours. Have you tried contacting Brinkley? The few times we've reached out, they've been helpful. GL and let me know what you end up doing with the oven situation!

First, I would like to say how much my husband and I enjoy your channel. I do have some questions for you. We have been looking at, researching, Brinkleys and have narrowed our decision to either the 3100z or 3400z. We are trying to simplify our camp set up / packing up process from what he currently have. We really love the 3400 but I am a nervous Nellie and all I can think of is all the "what ifs" when it comes to the back deck. Do you close it when you go exploring? There is no good way to lock things up. If someone wanted to break into the RV it is just a glass door. Also what if a storm comes while you are gone? I fear the awning/tarp would not be enough to keep out water if it came a good rain. I noticed in your NC vlog you left the back open while you were there in a pretty decent rain storm. Do you have to mop or wipe things down afterwards? Even if we were there we would be scrambling to get everything off the deck and into the small area in front of the door which would block us from walking freely through there. Also... what about just keeping moisture out of that area in high humidity areas? We camp for several weeks at a time, at the Alabama Gulf Coast and it is 100% humidity and rain storms come in quick, daily, and sideways. I am so fearful of water damage / damage from humidity. That's a lot of wood and electronics back there. I would just like your thoughts on these things. Plus you have me FREAKING OUT over the tash can panda situation. What do you do now to prevent that from happening? Just moving the pup's food inside? I can so visualize us sitting out there in the mornings drinking coffee and football season would be absolutely amazing if it is just us but there isn't a lot of room at all... we have two huskaroni pizzas (aka HUSKYS) that go everywhere with us and I fear we would be super cramped with all four of us hanging in the back. That doesn't even include if we had company. But I do love the concept. My husband is all in... he wants that rv. I like the 3100 because of all the windows but we can't figure out a decent sized tv install for the bay and, again, it would be more work storing it or the monsoon scramble! You really lose your view with the 3400 unless you go out on the deck because the windows are all on the back side of the rv. On stormy days the patio would be closed or the view would only be through the glass door and back windows. HELP. LOL. Do you have any regrets on the patio? I know there's no perfect RV and it's all about what we will use it for. I just want it to be easier for us but it is a lot of money to spend for the elements to destroy it. Yessss. We've gone through all the things as well. Our previous RV was very much the 3100 layout, but not a Brinkley. There are pros and cons and you've pretty much nailed them down. Space: Moving from the 3100 non-Brinkley style to 3400 Brinkley, we don't really feel like we've lost any space. The patio feels like bonus space. As such, it doesn't bother me quite so much when we can't use it. We sat out there with 3 adults and 2 large dogs, but it's a bit cramped. Us in chairs, the 2 dogs, and a small grill is doable. Patio and Rain: There is a rain tarp that we use for most rain storms unless it's a really bad one or if we are packing out the next day, we will go ahead and just pack it up. The tarp keeps all of the rain out - when we remember it! There have been a few times we've forgotten and we have to wipe down the foyer area to dry it out. All the cabinets in the Brinkley are solid painted wood. There is no MDF. We don't expect to have any issues with humidity. Security: We don't keep much on the back porch in sight. The TV is back there mounted, our chairs and grill. If we are gone for long periods, we put the rain tarp down. So far we haven't had any issues. But we also installed a Nest Cam for added security. Trash pandas - Yes! Moving the dog food inside so we have no outside food seems to have done the trick. We haven't had any other issues; however, we think when we go through known bear country we may have to bring the patio up at night. Windows and Light: We still have windows on both sides, but the front windows are definitely smaller. So we have good light, but there are times I have missed the full back windows. Typically I console myself with going and sitting on my back porch. LOL I will say this, in our previous RV we had Reflectix in the windows 90% of the time for the sun in Summer and for the cold in Winter. These windows have Reflectix built into the window shades and the insulation and cooling/heating systems work more efficiently. So even though we had the windows, we get to enjoy the windows in this rig much more often. Set up time: I will say this is the biggest draw back. It does take longer to pack up and set up because 1) the patio and 2) we added our ebikes on the back hitch. Which means we have to move both. Total time added has gotten down to about an extra 30-45 min on each side. Final thoughts from us, it does take a little more effort in planning and set up to have the patio; however, this is our home. It's been really nice to have the dogs up off the ground so that other dogs that are off leash can't come up to greet them nose to nose while we are sitting outside and enjoying our space. This has already saved us multiple encounters. Also it's given us a space to add a ramp, leash and unleash, have them outside off leash, and clean their feet which means less dirt inside the RV! Thank you so much for the encouragement! We enjoy making the videos and figure if we have fun, you'll have 😊 We mainly use it for picture frame, to play music, and for recipes or timers. Mounting it there, it is out of the way if we're watching TV and doesn't put a glare on the TV, but we can still use it as digital pictures frame if the TV is down and search features or timers still work by voice activation when the TV is up. ❤️
Z3400 lol, he lives in Oregon, he went on his summer vacation, got to kentucky, traded his Reflection in for the z3400,, took him 8 hours to move out of old trailer to the new brinkley,
Love the 3400 we are in the process of buying one now! We are planning a cross country trip with it and looking at campgrounds, wondering how much we’ll be able to use the back porch given the extra length it adds. Do you guys know how much length the back porch adds? Have you run into any issues with using it at campgrounds yet?
To be fair, we've only been to 3 campgrounds with the new rig, but so far it hasn't been an issue and we have the 8 foot ramp coming off the patio. We had already booked our spots 6 months out but most often made reservations for 60 foot rig (truck + trailer) so that gives us some wiggle room. The smallest sites we had booked previously were 40 ft, but most of those have grass where the patio can hang over the grass. So I don't foresee it being a problem for us at most campgrounds. That said, we packed our RV with items in storage on the back patio that we don't need to get to on a daily basis in case we have a spot where we can't put it down. It has taken a little extra forethought And there have been times we've needed to put the patio back up because of severe weather. I am going to buy a Brinkley Z3400 soon. When I saw you had a ramp going up to the back deck, I was wondering if that is a Brinkley add on or if ya'll did it DIY. Inquiring minds want to know! Enjoyed the vid!
The Brinkley comes with steps up to the back patio, we already had the ramp for our pups. This is what we have (affiliate link) amzn.to/3yi9JLT. It's enough to support an adult plus 75 pound dog no problem. It has some give to it, but overall super solid.
I'm new to your channel congratulations on your new Brinkley RV my question is what truck do you have to pull that RV and how many pounds is your RV a Chevy Silverado 1500 Z 71 pull that do you have the HD Silverado or do you have the 3500 Silverado?
We have an upgraded 2016 2500 HD GMC Diesel. The unloaded weight for the Brinkley is 14k pounds. We are certainly not experts on the subject, but wouldn't recommend towing any of the Brinkleys with a 1500. They design them to be heavier and tougher than other brands. I definitely recommend the Brinkley! You can feel the quality as soon as you walk in. Deciding which one will be mainly up to how you'll use it. Ours is also a 2500. For our model year there was no difference between the 2500 and 3500 except the overload springs which is why we upgraded to the airbags. It tows and handles it fine. We have been really pleased so far with the GenY hitch.

Yes!!! Without the ottoman, we can easily fit 2 of the XL (38x30) dog beds in the living room area. Or if we don't mind walking on them 1 XXL (48x38) and 1 XL bed. Somehow this rig seems to have better flow around the island. I think because there's a larger walk area on the dining room table side. Plus the garbage can drawer acts as a natural dog gate to keep them out of the kitchen when I'm cooking 😊

You may want to try some dealerships in other areas as well. Once we made our decision, we ended up calling to find out where they had inventory headed there that wasn't already spoken for. We ended up purchasing ours without ever having walked through a z3400. It was nerve racking, but so worth it! Happy shopping!!!
