Hi Paul - It was great to meet you and Julian on the Saturday and I enjoyed watching what you bought . I noticed the JS Models kit and Jonathan is a really nice guy and took a lot of time designing a bespoke kit for me so it was good to see him face to face to say thanks . Being SR based myself I too love the Cromptons and anything SR too !! so nice to see you got some good deals . Yes GETS was very busy this year and I found it almost impossible to get near layouts and stands but I think it may be because of the publicity for Making Tracks 3 . It is always a gamble if there is a match on the Saturday as the EFL dont't announce the fixtures until June and no doubt the venue is booked a year or more in advance. Looking forward to your build. Hello, it was great to meet you at GETS, especially glad I found your channel the day before! GWR T-Shirt was me 🙂 Now some brilliant purchases there, I did look at using Kadees on my layout but as you say the price has got a little silly really so I have opted to stick with the tension lock for now. Really happy for you that you managed to add 2 missing pieces to your collections, Channel Packet is simply gorgeous with the Southern on the tender being a plate as well it really stands out! When you mentioned about a C Class that got to silly money quite quickly I thought it was the SE&CR one not a wartime black example - no telling what is suddenly going to become super popular I guess! - All the best Christopher
Hi, A very nice video enjoyed watching the double act and It was nice to meet you along with Julian if only for a short time at GETS on Saturday just as you got to the meetup after your travel mayhem its not like that at "normal" GETS. You did buy a lot of goods for the future build and was interested in the Battle of Britain Class as I have bought a train pack from 2006 at a smaller show and have just fitted a Zimo sound recorder into it and if you need a fix of running of one my video on her is up now. I wish you a lot of luck with your new build and will watch out for future video's from you. KD's verses Hunt the KD'S can be uncoupled automaticlly Hunts not Hunts are good if you need to take stock of and on all the time like me but I do not have many at th moment but get by. Certainly agree about the price of Kadees Paul. glad you and Julian had a god time. your Saturday sounds a bit like that old T/V series "On the buses" but worse. However you got some good prices on those locos. Now lets hear about the layout progress. :)

🇺🇦 Hi Julian. Just subscribed to you. To be honest found it a bit stressful on the Saturday, couldn't see most of the exhibits. Did manage to spend some money though.😁 Highlight for me was the meet up thanks to Timber organising it. Just started my own channel and wanted to thank people that have encouraged me and helped me. I suffered the Q's at the Bowl also. However Key gave a refund to us for the inconvenience. As for double booking the venue I cannot blame Key. They would have booked the venue a long time ago and the football fixtures are not released until June. The only way to be certain to avoid a double booking is the Hold GETS out of the football season .

I was tempted to book a hotel further out, but I think the few extra pounds spent on booking the Hotel on site was a good move now, Though i`m still feeling the two days of walking around but it was Great , To meet so many other youtubers and hobbyists
Well done on your purchases Paul, I think I need to adopt your thought when purchasing at exhibitions. Went to Folkestone (Leas Cliffe) the week before GETS with money in my wallet to purchases items that I had on a list but could not find any thing that I wanted and to my amazement went home empty handed (that's a first lol). From the RU-vid clips it appears everyone had a good time, must make a date in my diary for next year and make the effort to get to GETS, take care and looking forward to your updates regards Barry..
