In March, 2022, I bought my 2003 Bluebird RE Cummins 8.3 from Tony at AAA Bus, and I got the same awesome service that you did! The bus is still running 100% - and I am now (FINALLY) working full time (7 days / week!) on by build. I'll subscribe and watch your videos - as well as dozens of others showing their work on RU-vid. (I am NEVER too proud to steal good ideas from others)! I am videoing all of my work, and eventually I'll edit and post it. Probably see you out there on the road - like a future Skooliepalooza.

We bought our 2004 conventional 31.5 feet long International from Tony @aaabus and had the same awesome experience. He is so generous with his time. He really wants to help people converting buses. We love the 40 footer conversions that have that extra 10 feet for another whole room but we are combining bus life with some van life concepts so our family of four can live and travel full time. Challenging for sure but worth it for the easy parking, turning around, off hwy adventures etc. A roof raise, tow hitch, and roof rack will help.

Oh yeah @Create Love Happy! A 31.5 footer will definitely make traveling easier as it can get into places that our 40 footer cannot. Everything has tradeoffs! That's cool that you went to see Tony! @@valeriedenise3454 we paid $6,000 for ours. Yeah he doesn’t post prices online and all the inventory are not shown online because he goes through so many buses. Happy shopping!

@@BEAdventurePartners I have a 1999 40' BlueBird All American RE (flat nose) with a 8.3/MT643. It has two under bay storage areas, too. The only thing it did not come with was the higher ceiling height. I have the standard ceiling height. :(

Your bus sounds like a beauty @Lethallady! We have a standard ceiling height too! We think it will be just fine. Especially considering our original idea was to live in a van... This is a HUGE upgrade size wise. Only trouble with a big bus is less off roading. SO each vehicle has an up side and down side. I'd rather have the extra space for art supplies, tools, and a sweet kitchen set up! ;) - Erin + Brian as well!

Y’all have so much fun energy. Love it. Feel like I’m related to y’all. I’m a 1/2 of tha way done wit my schoolie. It’s name is tobacco .. named it after my dog I’ve had for 15 years. He just won’t stop. Guy goes on like tha Energizer Bunny.

I'm glad that I found your channel. I am aiming for next summer to start my Skoolie build. I'm also from Ontario and just the other day, I decided that I would travel to AAABus to get my bus. That same night, I found your channel! What timing. I will be following closely your process as I am trying to find information on insurance, ownership, plates, etc.! And I'm not finding much.

BE Adventure Partners We are wanting a bigger bus and kinda going to do a little at a time between Missouri and Mississippi at our kids and just do the work as we go. We really want to just get ideas from everyone and just go from there. Was dealing with AAA pretty good? We noticed other people recommending them to.

What licence do you need for this? Ontario G licence is limited to GVWR of under 11,000kg and all busses have GVWR far over that

Hey @Terminal Insanity! Great question. Although we're converting our bus in Ontario, our bus is registered & titled in Texas. So we have to have a US Class C license to drive a "motorhome" in Texas. As for Ontario, I think you're right about the Ontario Class G license only good up to 11,000 kg AND you can't have air brakes. you'd better call the MTO office and ask them specifically and let us know what they say :) Thanks for watching! - Brian + Erin

Hi @valerie denise, we paid $6k usd plus tax. Call Tony or Joe at AAA for prices and to discuss what your looking or. They are super helpful to dial in a bus at the right price for your purposes. What type of license did you need when you picked it up?

Lets see some build videos, you should also check out the channel 'the maintenance man' he shares a lot of great knowledge on home maintenance and remodeling then also shares what tools to use that are good for the money but also get the job done then some.

Haha soon enough @Yota Doug's Tool Collecting Channel. We just finished the demo phase of the bus. Doing our best to keep up with vids right now. BUT at the same time soaking up the lovely fall weather here in Ontario while it is still here. We only have a small window. SO we have been working our butts off on the bus, and filming the entire time. So soon enough the vids will get edited & be up! But there’s more costs associated with it (title, registration, transportation to your build location and a bunch of other stuff). @Cheyene Patton - Hey! :) The bus cost $6000 USD, and it had 250,000 miles on it. SO we could likely put another 750,000 miles on it before we have to replace the engine. If I've already asked you for help with the following issue, in the comments section of a different video, please forgive me for not keeping track yet. I'm God, here as an avatar of myself, in order to save these worlds, omniverses, etc., but I cannot do so without the proper facilities, vehicles, equipment, etc.. I need your help with acquiring, preferably, a long nosed ( front engined ) large skoolie, but it could also be any other large type of skoolie, or, at least a large school bus I can convert into a motorhome.
