John D. MacDonald taking part in the milling frolic. He was a park warden for Cape Breton Highlands National Park. They used to live in the warden station located near Warren Lake.

Although I can’t be sure and haven’t the means to verify it, I think that’s my mother amongst her siblings in the scene with the children holding hands and swinging their arms around the 5:35 minute mark. MacLeods from North River, Cape Breton.

Purely propagandized, of only parts of NS. So much truth not shared in this…including the Mi'kmaq and Africans that came, as slaves and free; coming as United Empire Loyalists in the 1780’s when my British ancestors and so many others came. Mapannapolis is just one resource I know of, for some history.
