The image looks so grainy and low quality. I also think the lighting is slightly off on the hair. I have faith in the animation because if you've seen Ninjago Dragons Rising (please do it's so good), they also use Unreal Engine and the animation is STUNNING. Like, no joke, the finale of Season 1 could be a theatrical release and it would look right at home. So i think that as soon as the animators nail down exactly what they want the art direction to be and fix the rendering on the hair, this will be the best the show has ever looked.
Don’t worry Haze! I’m with you! I super hate this thing. It’s not the worst, and kids are definitely allowed to experiment with bad fashion choices (I know I sucked at it at her age lol), but I think there’s a difference between having a bad outfit and making that bad outfit the character’s main design. Especially when that character is an aspiring fashion designer who has already made awesome outfits! This is the outfit she will constantly be in because they only use one character model for their everyday outfits, so the choices have to be a good representation of their character. And this is the one they thought suited Marinette best? The one that showed off her personality and character traits? …*how?*
Looks like straight out of the Miraculous Movie, if the entire season is like that then we're eating good. My only issues with the outfit is her weird bow-tie and shoes. Atleast they rolled up her sleeves which makes it look better
I hope Adrien's new design includes the scarf Marinette gave him which could hint that the truth of the scarf would be told and also well it's one of the last things in Adrien's view that his father gave him. I really hope the scarf can just be brought up again and he wears it as his new design for Season 6.

I feel like it would be better if they removed the leggings or changed it back to her long pants. I don't get why so many kids TV shows always will give their female characters so many layers of clothes.
First of all, the background is gorgeous and reminds me of the movie which is wonderful to get to see more detail of Paris in the show like we did in the movie. I hope the schools will have more students in it like in the movie for the interaction experience instead of just the class alone. Second, am I really looking at the same outfit we saw when we got the first sneak peek of Marinette's new look???? I can't really explain it but in the earlier glimpse of Marinette's new outfit, it looked a bit better in some aspects of its design, but now it looks a bit like Marinette let Manon pick out what she was going to wear. No offense. The jacket is okay, although I think they altered its design a bit. I'm almost certain the shorts got shorter. Third, I recall that when they said that the characters would have new looks, that included new hairdos, so why didn't they change Marinette's hair a bit. I know the pigtails are a signature look which Marinette wears to honour Socqueline, and they could keep them with her Ladybug persona, but at least give her civilian self a new hairdo. A new hairdo with her civilian self like the bun she used to wear or a ponytail or just wear it down with a headband would have been nice. It would help distance any likeness she has to her hero persona and would be a look growth on one aspect while preserving the pigtails for her hero persona on another aspect. The pigtails are nice and all but with this new outfit, it feels like a complete clash of styles that makes Marinette look like something of a 6 year old. Again no offense. The outfit would look like it's working a bit with her hairdo being a bun, ponytail or hair let down, but the pigtails just clash in a way. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this new look where I like some aspects of it and hate some aspects of it. Is it really too late to change it? Also, if this is Marinette's new look, then I'm starting to feel a bit of dread on what they've done with Adrien and their friends.
They better take inspiration from people who drew Marinette outfits, they spend so much time upgrading the hero outfit and just come up with random civilian outfit like that
I love her hair and the color scheme but I’m personally not liking the new outfit either 😳 I agree with another user who said she should have had a pink skirt. Personally, I would have designed her with a cute off-shoulder knee length pink and black dress with a pleated skirt or I think a great look would have been a cute pink sweater/cardigan with a black scarf like the one she had on in the reverse special and a matching pleated black skirt that coordinated with it and black tights with black ballet flat shoes 🌸

Glad I’m not the only one who wasn’t happy when I saw this image. I don’t know if this is meant to be a finalized shot from one of the episodes or just like a concept art, but when I saw this, I thought it looked more like something from rise of the sphinx than something you would see in the actual show. I know that game didn’t get very good reception so why are they trying to make the animation in the show look more like it? Something about this entire new animation style just looks very off to me and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I’m someone who’s really not fond of change, so to say that I’m disappointed about the change in animation would be an understatement. I understand that they’re trying to make the show grow and change by updating it onto a better animation engine, but I feel like by doing so the show is gonna lose a lot of that original charm that was present when we fell in love with the show in the first place. People can say what they want about the older animation style, but it’s the style that introduced us to the show and the one that we came to recognize and grow with alongside the show’s run. It wasn’t always perfect and some studios animated better than others, but at the end of the day, I found the style charming and visually pleasing to look at. I feel like this new animation style is too “cinematic looking” for lack of a better term. I feel like they’re trying to make the show look like the movie and I’m just not a big fan of it personally. I thought the movie was good and everything there was very beautifully animated, but I always preferred the show’s animation over the movie’s because everything and everyone just looked so different from the original character’s in the show that I came to grow and love. For a film I can excuse it because it’s meant to be its own cannon and events that are separate from the events in the show, but to suddenly try to recreate that look in a show that has an already established style, it just feels super jarring imo. It feels like the show is gonna be starting all over from scratch instead of continuing on from where we left off. I understand that this is meant to be like a new story arc and a new chapter in the show, but I just wish we could’ve kept some aspects the same so it at least feels like we’re coming back home to the same home after this long hiatus we’ve been on. I feel like creating new character models with new outfits and maybe slight changes in hairstyle would’ve been enough to make the show feel like it’s changing as the character we know are getting slightly older, but I would’ve kept the same animation engine in use. I know a lot of people are happy with the new look and that’s great, but for me personally, I find myself very anxious about the direction the show is going in. Miraculous has always been a comfort show for me that I always felt I could rely on, but with all these changes that are happening, I’m not sure what to expect anymore. I don’t mean to be so judgmental and critical before we even get an official look at the new animation in action, but if it’s anything like what we’re seeing here, I think it might take me a while to get used to before I can even start actually enjoying the show again. That’s just me though. Hope I’m not alone in those feelings…. Also side note: I feel pretty indifferent to Marinette’s new outfit. I mean it’s certainly not anything to be thrilled over, but I didn’t feel quite as negatively about it as you. The one thing I didn’t like was Marinette’s hair XD. It looks like it’s made of clay and is like molded onto her head in this image. I think that’s what immediately make me think of rise of sphinx when I first saw the image lmao. Yeah I get you completely. Idk a great deal about animation to have an informed opinion on it but I know I don’t like change. I guess I’m just like why change it halfway through the show? Like I don’t mind for the movie as I view it as something separate but this is still the same show

I also don’t know anything about animation or what goes into creating a show like this, but in my personal opinion, it just feels strange for something to go through such an extreme change after having such a pre-established style and look for 5 seasons. I understand that the show has been around for almost a decade now and the software available has changed and gotten better, but in my personal opinion, just because there is “better” and newer software available doesn’t necessarily mean you need to use it. I think there’s something very charming about sticking to the original chosen style for a show. It shows that the creators are confident with the way they decided to make the show and stuck behind that way of making it. I feel like instead of trying to completely remake the show on a new engine, they should’ve stuck to perfecting their craft on the original engine and trying to make the show look at beautiful as it can, because I truly believe that if given the proper time and love to make the episodes, many of these past episodes that many people considered “badly animated” could’ve looked great! I think a lot of it came down to time crunches and trying to get the episodes done as soon as possible for airing. As a result, it lead to many animation mistakes or certain scenes that might’ve looked unfinished. I fear that by having the creative team almost begin everything from scratch with brand new models, sets, and assets for everything, it could lead to an entirely new set of trials and errors that we’re gonna have to experience as the creative team learns to now perfect that craft. I think that’s my biggest fear for season 6 at this point. Like I said before, I don’t know anything about animation or the business decisions behind it all, but just like you, I know I don’t like change and seeing the show go through such a massive redesign has me feeling kinda bummed that this is the direction they’re going in. Whenever I watch any sort of animated media, I think one of my favorite things is not only seeing how the story evolves and unfolds but also seeing how much the animation itself improves and grows as the creative team really comes into its craft and perfects that chosen medium they used to create the show. You could certainly see that happening with Miraculous. When you go back and watch some of the earlier episodes in season 1, you can see that the character models and facial expressions often looked pretty different from what we could expect to see in the later seasons. Maybe people say that the animation got worse, but I honestly don’t see it that way. Sure, certain scenes might look a little choppy and not every moment is perfect, but when compared to how things started, the character models look so much better and the movements feel a lot more smoother than they did back in season one. You could tell just how far everything had come and how much the creative team learned about animating the show and making a better product. Not everyone may see it that way but I certainly do. For the show to now suddenly wave that all away and change to a new style is kinda saddening considering how far everything had come and how good they became at animating the show. I mean just look at the reverse special. Everything in that special looks gorgeous and so well animated imo. People can say what they want about the story because I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum, but I don’t think many people had very major complaints about the animation. I personally thought everything looked great! Just imagine what season 6 could be had each episode had that sort of animation. I understand specials are always meant to look better than the actual show (mostly due to SAMG) but like I said before, if given the proper time to animate and fully perfect each episode, I think each one could come out beautifully animated as long as each episode is held to that same standard and most importantly, given the proper time to make. I wouldn’t mind waiting for the show if it meant that each episode would look that good! That’s just me though and I know like half this tangent is me just reiterating the exact same points. At the end of the day, this is all just me justifying why I don’t like change and why I’m afraid of the changes season 6 will be bringing based on what we’ve seen so far. I don’t mean to be so critical and judgmental before we even get an actual look at the new animation and style in action, but when these supposed sneak peaks that are meant to draw in hype look the way that they do, it has me concerned for the overall direction of the show. Ultimately, this is what we’re dealing with though and we’re just gonna have to wait and see what’s in store for us. I know change in life is inevitable and if this is truly gonna be the new permanent look for the show, I’m just gonna have to grow to tolerate it if I’m gonna continue on watching the show. I’ve come this far though and I don’t intend to stop now.
If Marinette's new outfit looks bad, Im scared to see what will Adrien look like 😭 Why did they put Marinette in pink shorts and transparent leggings combined, I'll never see anyone wear that in real life 😭 it looks like she rolled up her pants to get through a flood since they didnt change Marinettes shirt or jacket. I just hope Adrien will look decent and if he doesn't its okay because then him and Marinette can match in bad fashion❤ Also Marinette's shorts remind me of the miraculous anime version where she wore shorts so im not sure if they refrenced it or not 😂❤
It is weird how a fashion designer chooses to wear plain pink shorts, black leggings, and a weirdly fancy looking top. It would've made more sense if she wore like a dark blue skirt that was embroidered with her signature fashion logo and had a matching dark blue blouse with a ladybug stitched onto it. The blue would signify a new mature Marinette with more drive to be a fashion designer shown by her logo and the ladybug would show her fully embracing her inner ladybug.

I think it’s interesting and cool how their trying to make the city look more modern and eco friendly like they said in Recreation as there are many trees and the car looks different to. I believe the new setting we be an important change in the series.

I totally understand your reaction (I don't really like her outfit yet either), but remember this is just an early concept and not the final version. The whole season is still in development, which means everything we have seen so far can still change. I think the best would be to wait until the first official trailer releases (probably at the end of June) where we're hopefully gonna be able to see Maribug's final new look in action.
I like this outfit because it the way most teenagers wear this day it a nice new design for the characters sometimes you might not like something and than it will grow on you. Most teenager like to wear shorts during the fall/early spring so this is quite accurate to what teenagers wear today plus there could be more than one outfit for Marinette in season 6 and this is quite accurate to what teenagers wear today

Maybe I'll like it more when I see it in action. The blazer and shorts combo really doesn't look bad to me, in fact, it looks far more unique. Maybe the blazer could've been black instead to have a more mature look. But eh, it's an outfit.

Personally, I quite like the bottom of the outfit. It fits with the age range - but the top.... it just looks incomplete in a way and i'm sure it will grow on me but i cannot understand why her hair is the exact same but with pink bands, it seems a step in the wrong way for maturity in my opinion. However, with the image that released of ladybug, i absolutely adore how she looks, and the pigtails still make sense what with it being a secret identity. Also, you can tell lb's outfit has changed too. i'm rlly intrigued as to what adrien/chat noir look like.
Honestly, I never really liked her original outfit, it looked like some pajamas with a blazer draped over, but mostly I just ignored it. But this one? Geez, girl needs some actual pants instead of whatever this horror is on her legs asap. Since I can't see her from the front I can't tell for final, but from this perspective I love the outfit, because I HATED THE JEANS AAAAHHHHHH, really, you have no idea about the hate I had, and i just generally like her outfit on the legs rn with then chosen colors etc, it does feel french somehow. (But I am really afraid of how the shirt combo turns out tho, I'm praying)
I'll wait for the season 6 comes out. Yes it isn't the best outfit. The miraculous ladybug universe is more in modern version of Eden. The clothes were probably made out of the eco friendly stuff. It doesn't look that good. Edit: Someone connected hazbin hotel and Miraculous Ladybug in the most impossible way. The way I would connected those two series is by making descendant of the hazbin hotel characters (sinners or win ers that doesn't really matter.) everyone knows the miraculous ladybug takes place in the modern world.
I have a few reasons why it doesn't work in the way of how someone did try to make a connection to two shows that they both like. 1. The years 1930s,1940s,1950s,1960s or 1970s. 2. New Orleans and New York. I know about the New York special. 3. The characters are already dead when Miraculous ladybug takes place 4. Technology (Alastor and Gabriel A) I have a few reasons for why it works for descendants of characters. 1. They'll be alive during the events of miraculous ladybug. 2. Could be anywhere 3. Technology (no one dislikes it.) 4. Have flaws that are unique to them The voice Actor/actress for Marinette voice acting a character in helluva boss. That is a voice acting connection not a physical connection. Voice Acting connections are people's voice acting as different characters in shows or movies. Physical connections are in the same universe or being descendant from the characters.
Yeah they should get a fashion designer to make clothes for characters especially Marinette. I want the girl to finally have an iconic look and I feel we haven’t gotten that yet 😭

Why did they give Marinette what looks like fishnet tights? Even though she would canonically be over 20 in real life, she's probably STILL a teenager in the show's canon. WHY the FISHNET TIGHTS?! 💀 Also, her hair looks like it has been dipped in the oil used to cook her family bakery's cakes! Yeah, I'm actually legitimately feeling worried going into season 6 with the new art design and style. I usually try to be optimistic about changes, but I'm actually worried that I won't like the new style as much as the previous one I love, lol. I'm not going to lie about that. I think I need to see the animation play out before I conclude my feelings, but for the time being... Yeah that image, not very reassuring... @@hazeclarke I barely know the Guy I recall him getting blown up, and then being Hush.. and being annoying in Gotham Knights that is about it, I long long ago drifted away from Batman's world mostly due to them not actually putting Batman in it much anymore. On the plus side he isn't Damien Wayne so that is a big positive I guess. So it isn't that I dislike him.. I just don't know him enough to have a positive or negative opinion of him... but I did recall that his death poll was rigged by someone using their university phone system to redial the number over an over. so I got the impression he was hated for that reason. But I barely know the guy as a child or an adult.
