as every other ways, less struggling means less rewarding. But ofcourse, you may also change your difficulty level to "creative", and full up your storages. I'm not a fan of this, but ofcourse one plays as one wish
HG made the grind real. Before, it was only to collect words from each race (which I was nearly finished until the Autophage update). Now, the rep counts and it was reset, so we need to grind out a fresh run basically.

This is something I have wanted for the settlement system for ages now. Make the standing with a faction actually matter and make it so it impacts your buying and selling prices. Or make it that settlements can produce exclusive things for you.

I started a new game on Sunday afternoon, and by Tuesday evening I had 100 standing in all guilds (also 100 standing with one race). Apparently the guild envoys will restock if you teleport back and forth between stations, so no need to reload if you've found supplies you want at two or more stations.
Another consequence of getting your standings up to level 9 is unlimited nanites. If your standing is level 9 with the race that owns the space station you're in, you get 50% off all starship, multitool, exosuit and exocraft upgrades. BUT, that discount is not applied if you sell any upgrades to those vendors. So you can sell the upgrade back to the vendor for more nanites than you paid to buy it in the first place.
That is exactly what I do, bounce system to syetm portal jumping for a hour and collect the better upgrades for my ships and sell the others. Over 200 k and upgraded all my ships and living ship with this jumping. Takes time sure but worth it
I had seen the new exchange thing, but didn't know you could get the upgrades, especially the multitool one is a livesaver, those were the hardest to come by, great video!!!
There are three guilds, each of them offer different items to redeem or donate. The merchant guild offers cargo bulkhead and salvaged frigate modules to redeem at exalted. To find a merchant guild, look on the screen it the trading menu of the envoy. If it isn’t merchant, warp to a different system 800-100lyrs away and try again. Hope this helps!
I knew about these right away, when the space stations were revised, as least as far as the Storage Augs. But I did not realize they could have Cargo Bulkheads. :) Now I need to check my systems thoroughly. In a small 30 or so system sample, I found 6 with storage, 4 with salvaged freighter, 4 with multi-tools, and 2 with exosuit. None so far with cargo bulkhead, so I'll keep looking, although I'll pop by your system you put glyphs in for. Thanks for this reminder, and for that find!
@@hero2u1 Was checking more, and the systems of Expedition 4 (I used that starting character save to do Ex 12 and 13 as well) have a bunch of cargo bulkheads. So they are out there!
This is pretty cool! I had been hoarding Sentinel salvage just as war trophies, but I think I'll cash them in for guild credit instead. Part of the fun of this, for me, will be exploring the cosmos for great systems with rewards I can grind.

I found this method on day one as well, but I've had to grind up some of the ranks. It's a great way to speedrun some upgrades. Feels a little "Greasy", but.. Now I don't have to waste days and days to upgrade my freighter anymore.
@@hero2u1 Genuinely, it was such a grind.. I've been "playing" since the Day One Launch of the game back in 2016. This is probably one of the best updates they've released in the games history. Top 3, Easily.
I have written several stations with specific upgrades and I will travel between them. Because each time you travel back and forth between the station portal it wil restock its stock. Note: it doesnt work if you travel between the space station and your freigther if they are in the same system. Nor it doesnt work to teleport again it the same station from that same portal. Also the best thing is to travel between space stations of the same galaxy,its slightly faster than traveling between galaxies.
The slow but free way to do this: Find an echo repository that gives yo the same thing that you can donate. I found a merchant's guild rep on one that was giving warp hypercores for free at level 2 standing, and would take the same thing from me as a donation. I was also able to set up a save point right there so that I could do it without walking.
I got exultant with the explorer guild and got free exosuit inventory upgrades. So i went to a palentary archive, used a beacon to save and reload, in front of the guild dude, and got 3-4 upgrades fast. I would not reload to infinite tho', even on an M2 7500mbs+ SSD the loading takes some time.
Is there going to be a storage upgrade for the exocraft?? I also hope we get more storage room for a freighters I ran out of room agers ago and use two starships as storage space,, fingers crossed 🤞🏽
This is good info. However, rather than constantly reloading for 1 item, You might as well use the Portable Fabricator duplication glitch to multiply them. You'll get more items much faster.
Better way is personal refiner dupe method. Get so many so much faster! I mean if your willing to reload restore point over and over why not just dupe with personal refiner?
that works good today. but tbh after they fixed dupe upgrades last update. i think one day they going to fix the rest of items but now we have a second option ❤💪
great .. so only 120~ish reloads to get everything ... best combine with getting your s-class upgrades from the merchants as well so you dont have to go at it again once you have slots but nothing to put in them..
Can you no longer upgrade the multitool with nanites? I can no longer do this at the dealer. Or what am I doing wrong? I've tried it with several weapons. I mean, where can i change the Class from the Multitool? I'm at the dealer on the second floor, but I can't change the class anywhere. Is this a bug?
@@hero2u1 Ok, I found the problem. On the new space station, this is displayed very poorly for VR users. You have to get extremely close to the upgrade station for the multitool, otherwise you will unfortunately no longer see the upgrade option.
@@Th3Matrixx Yeah, it's the same for the exosuit upgrades. I ran all over trying to find the 'one' in each station. It's right there like the multi tool but the sweet spot to get the grab action is tiny!
That works good too. But unfortunately one day seems no man's sky will patch it. Since they patched upgrades modules recently refiner. So it's always good to have second option
I've only been playing since January 2nd this year and I've always been able to get the cargo bulkheads from random freighter cargo pods, and salvaged, bulkheads and S Class upgrades by destroying normal freighters in every inhabited system I visit. I got my freighter cargo maxed that way. I only did a derelict freighter once and that way to get them was too slow for me. Derelict freighters were not the only way, unless it's different on other game modes other than Custom?
