This dude is crazy between the lyrics, the music and the performance (He got lungs of steels to sing some of the parts in one go), Ren is one of the best artist I know of

I like the way the part "tell me how it feels to be buried while you breathe" looks like a grave being dug as the black box around the text gets deeper. (Though only 5 lines deep, when a grave is usually 6ft, which suggests he felt like living was akin to being in a shallow grave. Again that dichotomy, trapped between life and death.)

Forensic - For Ren's sick. Genius! Gets me every time! As does the line where he talks about prophets (Martin Luther, Mahatma) killed for 'imagining heaven'. Referencing the 'prophet' with which he started that whole scheme (John Lennon). Ren's a true poet and a musical genius! :)

The lyric video is so much better. It hits you in the gut! It's exhausting and so real! I can relate and that is the sad part of it for me. You do you Venom, love your enthusiasm.

Thanks for not only doing a stellar job of breaking down the lyrics, music and visuals but making it entertaining as well. You always have such great analysis and rarely miss a thing, even on a first go around, which is hard with Ren’s music! I’ve never seen anyone comment on the lyrics lights on lights out fade into the background. Lights going on and off when you’re in a hospital and then fading into the background because once the lights are off people go about their business and forget about him and the pain he’s in.. really tragic what he’s endured. Speaking of Welsh, have you heard him speak it? Because it's such a rythmic language I often wonder if that helped him with rap and being able to enunciate doubles/triples. The lyrics are actually wrong a couple of times, believe it or not. Unless Ren's decided to change the lyrics in a couple of places, which he may well have done. The living zombie lyric is one of those, as is that first whispered line. I'll have to double check the original lyrics but I'm pretty sure both have been changed, in the video, at least. Though they sound the same. :)
