Beautiful books one and all. I'm super new to making journals and am practicing/learning/watching to do both structured and junk styles. I love them all - no partiality here. :D But these are amazing - I find I am loving the heft and weightiness of the fabric covered journals. The first time I saw them was years ago - Amity Bloom's bohemian journals blew my mind and I commented on her video that I was gonna make me some just like hers! Now I see lots of people doing this style and it's really beautiful to see all the different ways different people use fabric. I don't have a lot of fabric to use for these styles, but I still wanna try to make a few one day. Four years working on a journal - I can totally relate. I've been working on a novel for longer than that! I know sometimes things just take time - you lose interest, need a break, get inspired in other directions, find new passions, and all of it leads you back to the thing you left behind because you needed all of that new knowledge to finish it. So - now is the time this journal wants/needs to be finished and now you will be able to do it because now your attention and focus are turned back to it, so HAVE FUN!!!

My mouse broke and "same day" delivery from Amazon was adjusted to: it's on its way, but running late. The world has gone crazy here in my little city -- there were literally two shoot-outs within hours of each other -- hundreds of bullets flying -- at 2:00 in the afternoon -- so I waited instead of going out or sending my son -- anyway, good grief, this is beautiful -- I was already signed up for your newsletter -- what a give-away !!! But I thought of you yesterday (while I was mouseless, I thought I'd pack -- we're eventually moving -- and I laughed out loud. So, paper crafting is very new to me, and I really love it and owe my entry to Rachel over at Roxy Creations -- I think the creations you guys make are far beyond my reach -- so as I was packing up, I picked up an amazon box (recycling) and the flap tore, and the paper tore and exposed the inside wavy part -- which you use in your work, and I've always wanted to do it, but I thought you had to have magic crafting hands to get to it -- so I sat for 20 mins. pulling outer layers of paper from cardboard -- and the paper leaves this really cool marking -- my son is giving me your class for my birthday which is still weeks away, and probably after we move and I have a craft room again -- but thanks so much for your inspiration and your Tuesday Tutorials -- and sharing your magnificent talent -- you often say you've been doing paper crafting for 20 years and still love it -- I can see why -- it is absolutely addicting, and you have such a marvelous collection -- I hope you are staying safe in LA -- Happy Holiday -- Patricia

Hi Robin, oh my goodness... someone is going to be heaven when they win!!! Time always seems to sneak away. How are you? We have had a busy week... My oldest son got engaged this past weekend and have set the date. They are getting married in Dec. I couldn't believe it was so soon but I understood when my son told me his best friend would be leaving in Jan as an overseas missionary and won't be back in the states for 3 years and he really wanted him to be here for the wedding. They've been best friends forever. Then 3 months after that my middle son is getting married. Looks like I will be working on wedding journal in the near future.
