We run it as our primary drop back. We tag the receiver to run the shallow at the line, and based on who is tagged, the other receivers know to routes to run
@@CoachJoeSalas With a soph at QB1 this season, we’ve been pretty run dominant and quick screen heavy. So we only run it about 4-5 times per game. It’s been our most successful drop back pass play. When we hit the shaq, it typically goes for about 10-15 yards. For some reason, our QB never progress to the 2nd and 3rd reads (dig and post), but he immediately dumps it to the back on a swing route. That typically gets us about 5-10 yards.

This is an automatic throw to shallow receiver…What do you tell QB if he’s covered? Also, what is the coaching point for shallow receiver to ensure he’s behind the LOS? Appreciate you, Coach!
Good play. I think out of early with the back on x’s side, the shallow to the boundary would be a killer also. Great design. I’ve seen Oklahoma run theirs with a built in qb draw. I’ll take a 0 yard completion for a 10 yard again any day!
