Our new shed is finished! It has been a massive job but well worth the effort. The shed in the start of the video was once the implement shed but in 2020 we poured it out and turned it into our workshop so we could work on the big olive harvster which we brought in the same year. This left all our implements in the rain, under trees, rusting, until we could work out a new place to store them.
Cue this shed.
I didn't really want to go removing trees like we did but there wasn't any better place for it and the trees were a risk of falling down now with their size. Some of them already have.
The laser showed there was a 1.4m height difference end to end. Dad, my brother, and I cut and filled the base of the pad to a get a 1% slope and carted better rubble back ontop of that to give it a harder surface. I leveled it (on a 1% grade) with the excavator which is pretty hard to get perfect, but it's good enough. Looks great in the video which is the main thing, right?
Overall, I'm really happy with the hangar.
