Chevy had a supercharged truck?!?!? ...and it was called The Reaper!?!??? 😳 Its magical. I have this feeling in my soul right now, the same feeling I get when a new kick ass car comes out. Only thing is, this thing came out in the past and I never knew it existed. The Reaper is such a cool name to call a car too! I thought only Dodge would've done that. Honestly, I wonder who the f*ck is pulling the strings sometimes at some of these car manufacturers, why would you axe a truck like this and not promote it? It needed to be the f*ckin star of your show!
I'm waiting to see if GM will produce the Chevy Astroid and GMC Meteor. Now think about those names for a minute and what they did to the Raptor and T-Rex. A couple of videos on youtube talk about the Astroid and Meteor.
Needs a supercharged L8T, 6.6 liters of one of the best motors chevy's done in years. Stock on 87 octane fuel, it does 401 hp and 464 lbft of torque. A mild super charger would put it around 600 to 700.
What transmission GM has would be thee best candidate for the abuse it would endure? I would start with a 632 and cam it swap out valves and rings make a 13-1 compression. It really would be great to get an intercooler/ radiator in the bed for the engine and transmission to keep them out of harms way. Get some real 4 link in the rear and mod the front suspension to copy Baja.. Take this thing and really step it up. Stop playing in the sandbox and get out to real life. I'd
I actually sold a used Reaper when I worked at a local Chevy dealership!! That being said, if Chevy were to actually listen.. BUILD THIS AND WE WILL BUY!!! Seems like all they're concern lately is electric and C8.. Granted, the new C8's hold their own, but what about building a badass GM truck... Dooo iiittt....

I have been a GMC dude all my life and I have a 75 GMC Sierra Grande 4x4 and GMC has to do something. Ford has the rapturd Dodge has the TRX. It's TIME for GM to step up. NOW. 🤠

New about them? I owned one. Wicked truck! I had the 6.2 with supercharger and 550hp! It was awesome! My only real complaint was the wide body kit or fender flares. They were a glue on style fender flare and I live in a northern climate and the hot/cold cycles seemed to distort then. I replaced them one and they started to warp again so I got rid of this beast! Such a cool truck! I think Chevy need to get off it’s conservative ass’ and make a real Reaper that comes from the factory and is not a bolt on kit like Ford does with the Raptor. I would totally buy a factory built Reaper with a LT4 variant! It would make a perfect pairing with my ZL1!!! Please Chev build a factory built Reaper!
It's only if I can get it in black and copper. That's the only way I would purchase one of these trucks. Is the truck being all black with lower balance and around the wheels? Copper color that's the only way I would purchase.
1.) No. Never knew Reapers existed. Cool idea. 2.) As a designer, I still hate the front end of everything after 2015 {'some' Black Widow designs are exceptions}. I think they took SO much away from the brand identity on the front end that the 2014-2015 front-end design is starting to look 'perfect' in hindsight. The modern curves and muscular cues are 'okay' enough to maintain that it is still a Chevy but...no matter how you dress it up or paint it, the current Silverado is just an ugly truck. It's gigantic...but that's it. They should let me re-design this...errumm... 'problem.'
Im a Ford guy but yes, the Reaper had the Raptor on all numbers across the board. I’m not sure about curb weight or actual desert running and jumping. But, the first Gen Realer was over $70,000 and very low production. The first Gen Raptor started at $45,000 and there were plenty of them.
ZR2 never had the “cool” factor that the raptor did, regular people know the raptor name but would have zero clue a ZR2 was anything special…. GM messed up by not making the old reaper as available as a raptor
GM diesnt want to enter that market......they would have along time ago...or kept it going They are content right where they are Sell a few thousand special one offs or a hundred thousand TB/AT4s....
Tbh everything about the truck is fantastic it's just the huge Adrain Brody nose that's puts me off lol. Idk I'd like to have one as a novelty but definitely get the front end changed 😅. The engine and suspension is why you want this truck 😊
Chevy doesn't get it because they won't put 38s bigger tires on these. Ford had 35s 15 years ago and they have 37s while Chevy in 2023 still has 33s. They need to slap on some 38s on these trucks now to compete.
