I would not buy anything from them, if the Sims 4 is broken and they don't care... They will not change .. crappy customer service, disrespectful company towards us their customers... This is just not compatible with me and what I think a good game and company should be.

@@asami-s Life By You, InZoi and Vivaland are the 3 games I would love to play. I am not sure about Paralives, It looks unrealistic wich I don't like. But maybe Paralives will have a nice gameplay.

I don’t understand multiplayer on a life simulation it’s honestly dumb…I’m not touching anything until they completely clean house and go back to actually putting care in the game instead of showing how diverse and inclusive they are but don’t even care if there game works.

the person who leaked these said on reddit that its not TS4 style with lots. You can leave and enter other lots without loading screens (which makes sense as its in UE5)

All this build mode stuff is just noise to me. All I care about is the game play. I want sims with distinct personalities that you can tell by just watching them. I want cause and effect situations; Sims that remember and respond realistically to social situations. If they are just as socially unaware as TS4 sims then the whole thing is just a waste of money and time. Right now I am concerned that the PC game will be held back by mobile. And also if EA's focus is for simmers to be entertainment for each other by being social rather than the game being entertaining for the individual simmer.

I‘m very conflicted on Project Rene. My dream would be current sim aesthetic but more customization and the in depth gameplay we got in sims 2 ❤ lately I‘ve been missing sims 2 so much even sims 3. If it’s just going to be a very customizable build and buy with the shallow gameplay we have now I‘d be disappointed 🙈 I will still try it I love the Sims no matter what ❤

I have gotten every interation of the Sims, but im done. 70+ dlc is wild, and the sims 4 is so glitchy and constantly breaking, and yes, there's some gameplay in Sims 4 we dont have in other sims games, but its just sad how little effort feels like has been put into Sims now. I'll watch simmers play Renee and their other games, but that's that. They are done getting my money. Feels a little bittersweet

TS4 is the only game I don’t feel a speck of remorse for just pirating the whole thing. I bought the deluxe edition on day 1 and after that it was disappointment after disappointment, cash grab after cash grab. If project Rene by some miracle is actually good and fun, I might consider giving them my money again. Until then the best thing about TS4 is the community made content and mods.

I also feel like they are once again going to do the bare minimum with this one as well... Don't get me wrong phones have come along way over the years... but the Sims is a taxing game as it is... To have this level of customization, on top of gameplay, NPCs, and CAS... how is an android/Iphone supposed to successfully support that?

It’s astonishing that the Sims team is incapable of reading the room. To release these clips when they just release the 2nd ER patch in a week for a kit… a KIT! At this point I have zero faith in EA and their team. Project Rene needs to stay behind the scenes until Sims 4 is in a better state. Between For Rent and Jewlery Kit, the teams to re-establish their credibility JMO 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s not “leaked”; the info is released by EA to distract Simmers from the current state of the Sims franchise and EA’s greedy business practices. Personally, I will not be playing Sims 5. I refuse to be taken advantage of by EA any further. I look forward to there being more competition in the simulation game market in the future.

Well said. Playtesters didn't just happen to leak this while Sims 4 goes up in flames, this was calculated and it's a manipulation tactic that's not fooling most simmers bc at this point it's very clear EA is scamming their customers. To me, this looks like just another shallow iteration of a game I once loved and I'm not interested in the slightest.

I wish I was excited about this but the way they are handling sims 4 it makes me not feel happy about it. It makes me think if this is how they treat us and the game that has been funding them for years how am I supposed to trust they’ll be different with this one. It just feels like they’re trying to distract us.

I think project Rene is the next version of sims mobile and the project dolores that the sims community talked about a week ago is actually going to be sims 5.

I refuse to update my game rn so even if I did want more content, I can’t play it 😂 and as far as other games, EA is too ok with serving us broken products and promises.

Thanks for always keeping us updated on everything! I think right now most of the community is fuming about the latest kit breaking everyone’s games… so this “leak” that I’m sure was supposed to make people excited is having the opposite effect… ea needs to read the room before they put out other stuff and fix their ish* first. Only reason my game is working is thanks to the modders working their butts off to fix what ea broke-but it should not have to be them who fixes things. Also- I didn’t even buy the kit. The update alone messed up my game enough. No way am I going to buy the kit if just the update is messing up my game this bad… 🤷‍♀️

Updates like Animal Crossing where they just abruptly stopped? 😢 (Still sad about that.) I play Disney Dreamlight Valley, which is cross platform and have had to buy the game for PC and my Switch. With Switch limitations for amount of objects, I'm also limited on my PC. I wonder if Project Renee will be similar in that we pay for each platform and will be limited by platform capability.

unpopular opinion, but i think the amount of item customization is too much... like changing the layout of the drawers and cabinets on the counters for example, just seems overwhelming and unnecessary.

I think having less customisation in the sims 4. And then seeing project rene. They seem to be over compensating for the lack in the sims 4 and the new competition in the life simulator genre

@Kaile.28 true. I think the sims 3 had the perfect amount of customization. I liked the color wheel and create a style, but being able to change the shape of objects in project rene is just too much.

Why would you want books on top of a microwave unless they’re like cookbooks maybe but I feel like this is a little different than from what we’re used to and I’m wondering if they’re trying to compete with parallel lives

Less is more. I most likely won't be purchasing pr playing, customization is good, but I believe this is going to be geared more towards avid builders rather than casual ones.

I just feel at this time EA deserves NOTHING but a kick in the a*s. To me they deserve NO loyalty because how MUCH have THEY shown? Honestly sims for me is mostly about cas and build mode. So I quite like this type of customization. I do have to say it feels almost exactly like houseflipper when looking at this. They use they same type of modular but overwhelming options.... but let's wait and see I guess.

I want multiplayer in TS4 and any future games as long as it still has a single player mode. A limited amount of friends can join your game (around 4-6 maybe?) but not MMO style. I'm not ready for another version of The Sims because I'm still so invested in TS4. NOT looking forward to "starting over" without EP content. With the current bugs though I'm unsure how much longer TS4 can go.

I'm excited for the color wheel and all of the customization because that was one of the main reasons I felt so attached to the Sims 3, and the fact that we're getting apartments and (potentially) seasons in the base game is super exciting, but I am worried about whether or not all of the customization is going to stay on the build and cas level without delving into the gameplay because the aesthetics of the Sims 4 (which was much more simple than THIS) basically overshadowed how little depth the gameplay original was in the base game. I'm also kinda scared that it'll end up being another game that breaks every update because they're not showing many signs of improving that with their current game (which I recently quit playing), so... we'll see. Overall, I'm excited, but I won't pour money into it if it's another permanently broken game.

It's free because they know we wont buy it. It's on mobile because they know they won't buy it... The truth? No one wants to buy it and they know it hence they are reaching for the poor kids who only have phones aka the Devs are all just animal crossing players who would rather play that than their own game.

I like the customization. We all asked for it when TS4 came out and well, here it is and everyone is now saying it’s too much… I think they’re trying to make it up to us. Thankfully, we don’t actually have to switch the cabinet frames and backgrounds if we don’t want to. We get the freedom to choose it seems!

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but that map you show at 1:34 looks just like the Britechester world we have now in Sims 4. I wouldn't be surprised if it , is as they tend to reuse maps quite often, at least I've noticed it, they tend to just update the graphics and sometimes move lots around.🤷‍♀ Either way, I'm excited for project Rene and see what comes from it! 🥰

I'm quite sure Project Rene is not The Sims 5. It will most likely be a spinoff. It is going to be on mobile. Cell phones won't be able to handle The Sims 5. The Sims 4 can't run on mobile and The Sims 5 will be even more advanced than The Sims 4.
