NEW Sinn FALL Releases 2024 

To those watch snobs who would turn their nose up at makers like Sinn, they should be made aware of the fact that Lothar Schmidt, the owner of Sinn for the past 25 years, was the original Technical Director of the revived A. Lange & Sohne as chosen by Gunter Blumlein and Walter Lange. A brilliant horological mind, Mr. Schmidt and the Sinn engineering staff imbue each Sinn watch with a set of attributes which distinguish them from other similarly priced watches. The DNA of Sinn watches are quite incredible and extends to advance metallurgy and to Sinn specific upgrades to the various third party movements used in Sinn references. If you want to buy a watch that you can enjoy for 30 or 40 years of hard service and still pass on, this is where Sinn shines.

I like these watches quite a bit a bit, in fact I’m seriously considering buying an 856 RS. The stainless steel version is my personal choice. There really isn’t anything about the design or specifications I don’t like. I’m very “into” the minimalist approach to sport watches and this one is checking all the boxes in my head. Ah my poor wallet but must say the black tegimented 856 RS is my fav of the lot. And an U50S UTC would have gotten my money today.
