New SKIL Power Tools for 2019 - First Exclusive Look 

Over the last year, I have invested in almost all of the 12v line. I have two drills, 1/4 impact driver, 1/4 right angle impact, compact saw, 3/8” impact, 3/8 right angle wrench, jig saw, oscillating tool and the corded router. They are all awesome tools. Very impressed with how they feel and performance. I have been wrenching and building stuff as a reg guy and as a pro for 27 yrs. These have been great all around. I also own the 12v fuel stuff and you can not go wrong with these and their 5 yr warranty.

Snap on batteries fit the craftsman drills , I cant remember which fit which , but it worked . It was crazy .

Would love to see a “rumored tools”video hopefully,looking getting an electric rid on mower soon. I hope ego doesn’t take another 2 years. And yes. I see the brand working for people who still think of skil as the cheap brand. Without knowing they will get better tools. I for one am happy for them. Too many people here hating without thinking of the people working on these tools

they are selling craftsman and kobalt cheaply because they want the public to help them later on with future reviews and if they lasted. seems like a good strategy to me

The skill of yesterday, to me, was a very good brand. I don't want to wipe that away. I haven't bought a skill tool in 20 years tho....

Does the 12v fit the 20v?

The skill of last year has been so chintzy that they will have to prove themselves above and beyond before I would consider them. Good luck to them they have a huge challenge and if the succeed I will love to see their strategy to do so.

Hi guys, Just have to say your videos are fun to watch and both of you are funny and make me laugh. It's good Skil is changing and improving on their DIY tools. Craftsman needs to do the same already. The other sad part is these major companies are buying up all the small tool companies and they don't want to improve on them. Just buy them so they don't have competition. What wrong with some competition? That's what makes you push to be better. Like milwaukee (ryobi) you think they're really going to make that brand even close to milwaukee, Hell No. Or dewalt (craftsman) improving on those tool, hell no. Man, there should be a law that these major companies could only buy out three companies and they have to massively improve that line. Well that's my rant... Thanks you guys. Cool group of guys to watch.

Before you knock the new craftsman at least check out the brushless drill and brushless impact gun. Very nice tools

Amazon isn't great for tools. I had to pay for return shipping. You don't have that problem with Lowes or HD. Lowes has gone in full steam ahead with Craftsman. Their display section is huge. I don't know anything about the new Skil, but they do look like Craftsman rip-offs/wannabe's.

Dude you can't find anyone on the internet that is still genuine like you guys! That's why you guys are so respected in this tool industry you tell it like it is.

Till the early 1980's Skil made Great tools! I have a 45yr old Skil hammer drill that I can't kill, outlasted my Milwaukee! They got a bad Rep for their 1980's-2000's cordless tools that were Fuck'n Horrible! But these new 20V brushless drill & Impact are far better than the craftsman & dewalt that I've owned.

Be nice if you compared the new and improved skill to the old stuff that is 2-3 steps below. What makes it better? Forget reliability over long term. Does not seem logical for a company to abandon it's previous market focus and go after the professional grade market. Especially if it looks the same. You would think they would go call it a plus, or extra line or something to show hey this is new. Nothing shows new other than talk. So explain the differences. Bigger motors, longer life, hell break it open like AvE and show the internals of how it is upgraded, oh wait wrong show. Well, do more comparison from old tool to new tool other than "it feels good in my hand".

Actually their channel name is clickbait. They don't actually show tools in action. Like they used to do years ago.

Lowe’s has some weird stuff going on with these tool brands. First they released the Kobalt brushless tools then they slashed the prices on them and never released anything new, then they went all in on craftsman power tools and now that is dying. It even seems to me like Lowes is killing off kobalt hand tools and tool boxes and going to full craftsman.
