In todays episode, I am looking at the new mobile smartphone stabilizer from Zhiyun Tech. They sent me a pre-production model to play around with and test out. Quite a few people have found issues with using the iPhone 7 Plus with gimbals such as the DJI Osmo. 1) The weight of the iPhone 7 Plus (and even worst if there's a Moment lens to an iPhone 7 Plus) is too heavy for the motor in the gimbal to operate correctly. Some if not most of these gimbals go haywire trying to balance the phone. 2) The iPhone 7 Plus has OIS (optical IS) in the wide lens and it can "fight" with the gimbal as both tries to stabilize, producing micro judders. A lot of users are finding the footage with the micro judder and have claimed it as "unusable"... I'd be interested in hearing your experience with the Smooth Q and iPhone 7 Plus. Thanks.

Daily vlogging. It’ll make a beast out of ya that’s for sure. Did it for over 2 months - not easy. A lot of work. Cut back in the 3rd month and I’m back at daily in the 4th. You do learn a lot more because you’re doing a lot more. I believe it can also help with overall growth as well.

there is multiple modes on the smooth q one of which allows for panning. I'd love to see the app if you can get that because it has object tracking and motion time lapse and I'd love to see at what quality those features run. either way I'm ordering one on the 15th when they release it. that full size USB on the bottom is for charging your phone or camera while shooting. maybe that would have kept it hot enough while running. either way keep up the good work love your videos.

Ohh..you can charge your smartphone, from the gimbal battery. Also, you can charge the gimbal, using external battery packs. The gimbal can do unlimited 360° and time lapse.

Great video Pete. Just wondering does your new stabiliser have any jittering in the video on the iPhone 7 plus. From what I read the DJI osmo had this problem as a result of the stabilisation in the osmo and the iPhone working against each other.
