I have one of ur mahogany pied. Beautiful animal. Tbh i never thought about value added. I breed because i want to work with aninals and love making new and exciting combos. It was a hobby when i started...not a business. I think to many people jumped in thinking it was going to be a business, not sonething you have to love to do regardless. My two cents
I agree! If you don't love working with the animals then you'll never last because the money doesn't come until lots of time, work, and struggle has been put in. I guess saying adding value can be misconstrued. the value is definitely monetary but also in the ability of making brand new multi recessive combos that have yet to be made.
@@beastmorphs lol. I knew what u meant. I think you're spot on. Clearly the big boys agree. I just reiterate, I'm a field biologist, who was forced into early retirement by a disability. This allows me the opportunity to still work with animals (which I spent many yrs in college learning and in the field doing) in a fashion that I'm able to still accomplish. When I break even at the end of the yr I'm happy. I'm able to enjoy my passion, and take care of my animals well. We ALL have days we wonder what the heck we're doing😂 just gotta love it.
