@BobbyBiz or maybe that person actually thinks this is a bad design. I too was questioning the quality of this when I saw the whole thing being mounted with double sided tape. However, the comment above stating that it will only take the brunt for one revolution makes sense. It's not just for likes it's genuinely looks like a bad design but really isnt.
Not even. I was a pool service technician for over 4 years, and I’ll say that I had an issue with just about every type of pool cover under the sun. These things have issues every few months, and they aren’t cheap.
how would it be a mold trap? It's primary purpose would be to block UV rays from the pool water, keeping the chlorine levels ideal, since sunlight evaporates it quickly otherwise. good chlorine levels won't let mold take hold. I still wouldn't use this system, it seems a bit cheaply made for my liking, especially the 2 sided tape to anchor it to the winch, and flimsy outer casing on the pedestals. I would find something a bit more beefy.
@@BobbyBizthose are plastics anchors and no who the fuck uses those in concrete, use tapcons or drop in anchors with a setting tool. It’s funny how you thought you were smart but your not
Hey pool guy, I love your videos like everyone else , and at this point I am pretty sure you can get some Hilti or Makita aku tools to make job even easier. Cheers from Croatia
@@BobbyBiz Yes, they have to. There are special screws with seals. Or you can use dowels with seals, water gets in and the cold and heat cause the concrete to crack. But explain how you would do that?
@@Nost2682 😂 you numpty. Stop trying to sound like you know what you are talking about. Your choice of words alone proves you have no idea…. Dowels? Wood? The fixings used are supplied by the manufacturer and has been installed as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Also water will only cause issues with freezing not with heat. How much water do you think will get into that tiny hole that is now filled with a plug and fixing? Lastly…. You know concrete is porous right?
Depending on the cost there is a company that does poll installs that actually drain the water from the pool into tanks and the pool has a surface that fills in the space making it into a fully functional patio space whenever you want.
The only thing holding the cover to the roller is adhesive strips? I miss the days when nuts and bolts were used and you could trust a products structural integrity.
