NEW SPEAR OF SHOJIN ON AATROX IS NOT BALANCED! 

I tried and grevious wounds is not enough when your ulti is up, they can keep you from going full hp but they cannot kill you if they're not ahead, sterak into merc is crazy good against CC heavy champ or just chain CC in general, I got like more than 60% tenacity and it was crazy so yeah it's a must for this kind of play style, also you forgot to mention you need attack speed so you can easily proc your sundered between your Q, so going sundered with stride breaker is really good, since stride breaker will be replacement for serylda now, but Im still not into sundered yet, since spear of shojin have better stat than sundered and it's help with your Q damage so you gonna deal lot more damage which heal you more, sundered only help with your auto so you heavily rely on how good you can auto each people when you in a fight

Yehh i saw how absurd much mr FON gives but its getting overshadowed by free galio w passive which is really good.

Its still a stackable item, doesnt look as good as the item where you get 20% of your hp as a magic shield, AND has 80 mr without any need of stacking. shield refreshes after 12 sec ooc too which is bonkers

Serylda slow works on 50% hp now instead of on-demand. You also can't build Cleaver with it anymore. I think they made every penetration item standalone meaning you can't stack them together.

Sundered and shojin is broken on aatrox

what are you currently building on aatrox?, are you going for lethality aatrox or drain tank aatrox?... I'm currently rushing shojin into eclipse but I also want a slowing item like serylda was

@@spaceydco4218 I don’t really have a build right now cuz after the season ended my ping has been rising every day so I haven’t been able to really try the items out but from a glance I would say Eclipse, Shojin, and Sundered Sky would probably be my go to items. Also I don’t like how they changed serylda’s slow.

I agree that Fighters having 30% slow on their abilities is unplayable when you're using a low-mobility champ, but now the Serylda change made it so only assassins can even make use of it-and with how every assassin having at least a slow in their kit somewhere+Voltaic Cyclosword exists on the same patch, Serylda's just redundant now, and Fighters are left with Black Cleaver as the only anti-armor tank option usable (that doesn't build crit). A simple nerf for Serylda from 30% into 10-20% slow would have made more sense. Meanwhile... Why's nobody complaining that Rylai's Crystal Scepter still has 30% slow, is only 2600 gold with a nice stat-line, and every AP champion with a spammable/damage-over-time ability is abusing it?

@@tedestrada57 I mean, the only few champs that abuse rylai are Morde, Lilia and maybe brand, and even he likes more damage most of the time. Problem with Serylda was, that it gave armor pen on top of the slow. Meanwhile Rylai is only basic stats. Also, there is a place for serylda in an assasin's build. Since Voltaic needs you to actually go within melle range to apply the slow to 1 person, Serylda is a better lategame option for zed and talon for example, who can cover large areas with abilities.

1. That's the point: Assassins will remain as the only ones to buy Serylda, but even then, it will never beat out Voltaic Cyclosword (which does the same job on a single target but has generally better stats for not only assassins, but for any AD physical ability user). Why? "Because prevention is better than cure"-you wouldn't have to buy Serylda or any %Armor Pen from Last Whisper items vs. a 150+ armor tank (except if it's Malphite/Rammus), if you can close our the game with Lethality/Armor Shred (Black Cleaver). And oh, if you're already that fed with all that AD, then having a slow doesn't mean much if you just need less than 3 seconds to secure the kill in a single combo. 2. As for Rylai vs. Serylda: the former's basic and generic stats alongside a low price-tag IS a good thing to have when you're just really buying it for a persistent 30% slow. Additionally, those same stats that Rylai's got help you live longer and deal just enough damage, so you can keep using abilities regardless of cooldown. Other than possibly the haste, Serylda's got nothing to help with surviving a long chase and fight that you'll pick on. Want more proof? Champs that used to abuse Serylda: Those who benefit with having armor penetration and ability haste. AD Assassins (9), AD Caster Marksmen(5, 6 if we include Jayce), Aatrox, Garen, Pantheon, Lethality Vi, Yorick. Total of 19 or 20. Champs that abuse Rylai: EVERY SINGLE CHAMP WITH AP SCALING AND/OR CAN DEAL CONTINOUS MAGIC DAMAGE. Good luck doing a headcount on that one once you consider damage-over-time abilities, Liandry, Malignance, and Riftmaker. Not enough proof? Check U.GG for gold cost efficiency and see how big the difference between the two items are.

@@tedestrada57 well, my opinion is mostly based on what i experience in game rather than statistics. From my point of view it was a good change, don't care much for statistics :D

The main reason Aatrox can use Eclipse in previous seasons were two things: omnivamp and armor penetration from the mythic passive. Now that both are gone, Sterak just does a better job than Eclipse as an AD shielding item (you can get AD/Haste from other items, but Sterak's Lifeline shield alongside 20% Tenacity's way too good at giving you a chance to move and fight/flight).
