I have been collecting all of the retro Spider-Man Legends. I will buy all of these but I’m most excited by the suited Tombstone. The Scarlet Spider-Man is much better than the last one.
You know what I know....when your G.M. arrives, put the zombie face plate on him. Gather any other zombie-like Marvel Legends and other spooky-looking characters, place them around G.M. Position your Last Man Spider-Man center stage and blast "Thriller" over the room. Do a stop motion video. We'll get to 2K subscribers over night.
You know how Legends be. The cheap get cheaper and end up at Ross or Ollies. Maybe in a lot when the figures are $6-10 each then I'd keep those deep clearance buys.
I sold mine (Scarleth Spider) on Friday, just after the announcement of the new one. $20, has the left eye damaged (little bit, small like a dot) and 1 leg of the spider on the hoodie erased due to the abb articulation. Ben Reilly's head wasn't included. I will need it for the new one.
Wonderful chat, Gentlemen I preordered Jack O'Lantern and Tombstone just before watching this. I was 1000% inside Amazing SpiderMan comics during Tombstone introduction, special character for me. Jack O'Lantern is the kind of Batmanisch Spidey villain that I like. I think that he will fit awesome along White Rabbit, Frog Man, Beetle, Hammerhead and other low-med antagonists. Cheers 🎉
The two must-haves for me are the Jack-o-Lantern and Tombstone. Hallows Eve, Spider Shot, and Scarlet Spider are a close second. This wave, I believe, is one of the best ones they've done in a long time. Now if they just do a Vermin or an Uncle Ben and Burglar two pack that would be pretty awesome.
Know him or not, I want spidershot, looks like a super cool figure. I already ordered scarlet Spidey from pulse, now I kinda wish I had gotten the jack-o'-lantern.
Scarlet Spider-man’s hoodie is an overlay and does have the torso rocker joint and the waist balljoint. Dwight made sure to call this out in the video. So not sculpted on the torso like previous versions.
@@thestrongcollectors Ah. It sounded like you said the hoodie was sculpted onto the torso. The articulation should be the same under the overlay so whatever the RYV body has this one has. He just made a point to say the hoodie was an overlay and shouldn't interfere with the articulation.
With Jack O Lantern, a few things. First, this is exactly what Marvel Legends should be! He's got a few accessories, extra hands and whatnot, but he's got pretty much everything you need. Also, he's a great blend of new parts and old parts. The cool thing though is that most people can't tell what the old parts are, nor do they care, because you can't even notice. Second, I see a lot of people saying the obvious reuse, like you mentioned Dreadknight and even Ryan Ting said for future Green Goblin. But, that doesn't make sense to me. Jack's torso is scalemail, and his limbs are fabric. Green Goblin and Dreadknight are opposite; they have fabric torsos and scalemail limbs. So as much as I'd love to see a new GG, I'm struggling to think of actual reuse for this torso because so far the suggestions haven't been making sense to me. Whatever the case, if more Legends turned out this good, I would be buying a lot more. Jack o Lantern is proof that you don't have to go all out, you just have to get it right. And I don't even know much about him but I still want it.
hmm that's true on Dreadknight. now I'm worried it'll just be the Black Knight body that we got before which I really don't trust. Would a Thunderbolts Swordsman work with this body?
@@thestrongcollectors He might. At least the butterflies, if nothing else. Personally, I may take the ragged purple sweatshirt from the NWH Gobby and put that on Jack to make some kind of custom Goblin. We'll see
Oh, so the recent talos on the civilian buck had a similar neck peg situation exact that the head and neck were one solid piece. I think this is how they plan to do civilian bodies moving forward so we can easily swap both the head and neck. The Tom Holland from the ned leeds two pack is similar as well.
I guess that makes sense so that you can match skin tones. I was thinking that would be nice if the classic Dr strange had that same set up so when you use the blue masked head because it looks a little weird with blue head and skin neck.
@@thestrongcollectors 100% agree on that looking odd lol. I'm a bit concerned though because it looks like all of these heads like talos and tombstone do have the joined neck and head? Which means that without a Tom Holland ned leeds two pack neck piece, you won't be able to just throw a lot of other heads we have onto these new bodies... Even then, the Tom Holland neck piece requires some modification to fit on talos' civilian buck
How soon do you guys expect a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gamer-verse Wave? The game has been out for about a week now and no word, but that Advanced Suit Hasbro released was lazy and overpriced so I’m waiting to see what’s coming.
If No Way Home is any indication it could be another year. I doubt it would take that long but if they did have a wave coming I would really only expect 2 more Legends live streams this year at most.
Ordered Scarlet Spider because I didn't the last time this costume was offered, and Jack O'Lantern because I could use the update. I will order Tombstone and Hallow's Eve only because I can always use Female Villainess. I actually don't know her.
I have a hard time seeing these as strong reveals when so many of us are unfamiliar with at least half these characters. Meanwhile, our consensus top ten lists and team builders that we ask for over and over again are, for the most part, being ignored. As for the Skrull head, if I had to make that call, I wouldn’t throw it in. Doing so would just open up a Pandoras Box of speculation and accusations.
They said they aren't adding in the Skrull head. I think it's a great reveal. All pinless, as far as accessories go this wave is really strong and great updates of figures we already have like Scarlet Spider, Tombstone, and Jack.
lmao, yeah, what is it about that mold exactly where that right leg just breaks?? maybe I need to be selling my old retro green goblin before it explodes on me too! I did sell my dreadknight recently. I would love for them to rerelease it on the old iron man retro cards. That is probably the toy line that I was the most into growing up. Even though the show was just aight.
It seems like the main issue is with the Black Knight but after mines leg snapped off and I saw a lot of others do the same, I just don't trust that mold at all. I had seen a couple Dreadknights suffer the same fate so I didn't want to hold onto something that high priced with the risk of it snapping.
@@thestrongcollectors I believe I've encountered a couple of ppl saying the same thing happened to their sandman or retro wave green goblins so I assumed it was the mold. I just don't get it lol.
