I have always put the candles with the tall one on the out just to kind of frame it but I don't think it matters. My husband made me a new mantle 7"2"long. He wanted a new tv over the mantle so we made a deal. We are now in our 70's and I love to watch you decorate and shop and he likes to watch tv. He always says what ever makes me happy. Next week the 28th we will be married 50 years.

I like this kind best. The music choices, seeing how you choose pieces and rearrange and chat along. It’s like hanging out as mom friends working on something together . And the music is way better more relaxing. 🥰I love all your decor. Im a little more minimal but totally the same style . How I dream of a fireplace mantel to decorate! Someday 😉

Hi ! I would leave that wall by the mantle empty , it gives the eyes a rest and makes the mantel decor even more of a focal point !! Everything looks really nice ! Love your choices and style ! 😊

You're a very talented decorator! Personally, I would move the floor lamp by the television over by the sectional. It would replace the side table and lamp that looks squeezed between the sofa and piano. I think it would look less crowded, and give a little height, as well. Just a thought to try.

I am putting my valentine's decor and bits of winter greenery away today and getting out the perspiring items. We too have lots of snow, but I am so ready for a change. I bought 4 of those heavy white birds from Hobby Lobby last week and plan to use them on my tablescape. I love what you decorated today!!!! I do like this type of "decorate with me" style. You tell us where it's from and why you put some items in certain places and I like that.

Just an idea, a thin bench cushion for the piano bench would brighten that area. Even a nice throw folded on the bench, I love everything you do!

Kim, if it was on the last side of the piano, would you still put the tallest on the left? I'm just curious because I always struggle with this too. I often put my taller ot more substantial price on the left, but is that how its supposed to be? Thanks in advance for answering.

Very pretty, honestly I would move the piano to another area and make the living room feel larger and not so crowded. It is a beautiful piano but wonder if you would like a music room? Decorate with music wall art, add a couple of chairs with a middle table ,candles ,lighting and make it a romantic music room for visitors for recitals? Just a thought:)

Oh Crystal..you done it again...loved this chatty relax decorate with me style,! Piano area I would move the beads ...maybe lay them over the book! As for your tray..if and when you paint it I would just paint the inside base white and keep the wood edges..you get that ‘pop’ of white but Keep the natural look ! 🤗🙋🏻‍♀️🇬🇧💕

I have been in a similar situation with your coffee table. But some of my stable pieces I dont want to paint. What I found to help with breaking up the wood tones is to layer a white table runner or I have even used a placemat. It brightens the space and I end up loving the extra layer

I really do prefer this type video, rather than music. Since Stuart has his guitar in the basement, maybe you could move the piano there. A complete music area. But it does look fine where it is. I love your decor, so pretty! Happy Valentine's Day! Tyfs. HUGS

Everything looks beautiful, as usual Crystal.:) I think on the piano, I would drape the little beads across the top of the books, and possibly add some little glass jars with some greenery instead of the galvanized buckets. I feel like the overpower the area there.
