New Spyder Auto headlights for my Porsche Cayman 

2022, I'm looking on purchasing a 987 2008 Boxster and I was thinking: "If I buy it, I will get these Spyder headlights"... wow, thanks for sharing this, these are expensive and cheap at the same time

Thank you! I have looking for some 4 point lights for mine, and thought these might be close... SO GLAD YOU MADE THIS REVIEW! these are not at all what I am looking for! And as far as opening the stock headlights, I used to do this for some friends with WRX headlights to remove all the amber reflectors and paint some of the chrome... we would bake them in the oven at 250 for 15 min, the glue would be soft enough to open and then when we were done, bake them again to re soften the glue and spread it out, and then squish it all back together. Did 4 cars that way, never had any fog or moisture get in any that I did. But a friend of mine did his, and he got fog inside his lense on rainy days. My guess is that he was not as anal as I am when I do it, I make sure all the glue is soft, and 100% around the edges. It can be a pain to work with, it is like hot black tar, and you will ruin oven mits! 😆

I bought xenon version, installed oem xenon bulbs in them by a car specialist and I didn't notice any difference in performance when comparing them with oem headlights. It's a bi-xenon system with additional halogen bulb that helps with the long beam (the same system is in the stock headlights). Regarding the halo ring- it's the same led pattern as in the Turbo model, maybe not as bright but pretty similar. I agree that rubber edges are not perfectly aligned but I got that fixed, now it's 90% fine. Interior of the headlight housing is not perfectly finished, but it's OK, even in the stock headlights you'll find some imperfections (a bit less tough). Clear coat on these is not perfect- coat started to peel off after three and a half years but that can be solved by sanding and by putting a new clear coat.

Search videos of disassembly of headlights by putting them in the oven. Thanks for the genuine feedback as I have been looking at these as well.

easy to modify these with proper LED strips in the ring and swap out those ugly turn signals with a flat orange led strip with a black or white background.

It's worth noting that Porsche currently has a so-called 'four-point' LED driving light headlight graphic. The 991 has pretty much the same design - a ring with four prominent light sources.

I ordered from VIPMOTOZ the new xenon headlights for my Porsche Cayman the one you showed now but don’t know how to connect the daylight to get power?

I retro fit my 911 headlights. Heat will separate the lenses from the housing.
