🌲 Hello and welcome to Holmåkra 22! 🌲
A new series that mainly will be focused around forestry and logging! With different setups, mods, etc.
In this first episode, we'll start out by making a clear cut with the cut-to-length Komatsu 951 wood harvester to get some logs on the ground.

The dedication is amazing! What base game forestry machine would you recommend for Greenlands?

Depends. The Rottne tree harvester is the only base game machine that can cut down full-grown spruce trees. So if you want to plant trees, I would go with that. If you want to cut down the oak trees, etc., buy a chainsaw and a woodchipper. :D (The spruce and pine trees on Greenlands aren't fully grown, so both the Ponsee and Komatsu can harvest them as well.) So it comes down to preference. Personally, I like the Komatsu a lot.

How can you handle the trees so well when cutting them? Like when you make them in a pile you can just rotate the tree, whenever i try that it doesnt work the head turns onlly after i cut the last bit of the log

I use the mod called ''Wood Harvester Controls'' Which gives me the ability to rotate the header even once the tree is cut. 😄 Then I also use the weight of the tree to help steer it a little.

The log support beams at the sawmill? They are just to store logs on if the sawmill is fully loaded, I figure. 😄

I just used the landscaping tool to paint the dirt, as i think it looks better afterwards. =)

I highly recommend the dlc for those who enjoy forestry! Theres a few new cool machines, plus the map Silverrun Forest is amazing! =)
