A new start on a new water for me and John. A low stock gravel pit is going to be a challenge but it could be very rewarding. Winter is not the best time to start on a new water but you have to start somewhere...........fingers crossed
Nice vids rich .was wondering if you could give me some help with what baits to use on the res I've bin a few times and had no luck. I've bin using a snow man rig with the new mainline hybrid to no luck there . Just wanted to know what hook bait and ground bait you would recommend. Thank you tight lines mate
Thanks a lot rich very helpfull mate.and I will keep you informed mate am looking to get the originals out of there so thanks for the advice and tight lines matey
Sorry mate I've not been on my channel for ages just catching up with all the comments. I always did well on Mainline Activ8 boilies. I used 18 or 20mm baits and only fed 18 or 20mm boilies with a throwing stick and spread them over a nice big area. Groundbait or pellets or small boilies just attracted stockies and bream. Yes snowmen worked well with a 18mm bottom bait and a 12 or 14mm pop up on top. I always put a 3rd rod just off the baited area on a hinged stiff rig with a bright pop up on. Fluoro pink worked well on there. Hope it's not too late to help. Are you still fishing it mate ?
is it a private lake or day ticket ,, just watched a coulpe of you butterley videos theres is some nice young mirrors in there , i've done a couple of day session down there , had a few little ones..
its a club water mate no day tickets though. I try and target the originals at butterley. I fish 18mm boilies on there to avoid the stockies. If you put a load of spod out you will usually get loads of stockies and bream.
