The restaurant does have charm to it and sometimes places do need to take different and new directions. I liked the coziness of the blue room. I really like the Mary Blair pictures and that they are honoring her in that way and I liked the tribute to Disney.

I was upset that the Wave closed, but this looks amazing!!! I love that it is themed to WALT DISNEY WORLD! If only Enchantment would have done the same thing. Drinks themed after Walt and Lilian! I almost can't handle this. My wife's favorite drink is a Vodka Gimlet! I'm tearing up right now! Thanks for the video. Amazing as always! Very goodly weird.

My FAVORITE resort I love the smell of that resort. My 1st trip to wdw was in 74 when I was 8 years old and the Contemporary was magic along with MK. The Steakhouse 71 back in the day was this huge arcade with skee ball, air hockey and tons of other arcade games and great pinball games all for a quarter. Then they a couple of artist That drew cartoon character drawings, and last but least they had like quick service for cheeseburgers, hotdogs, ff, corn dogs etc... oh it was so good. I can't wait to go back!!! Next time you see my guys Goofy, Mickey, Pluto and Donald tellthem Debbie from KS say howdy and I am sending them big hugs. Great video as always. Your lunch looked scrumptious

This was a amazing video. I love Disney world so much. My parents were there the year it opened so jelly and I went for the first time 1980 staying at the Contemporary and had Disney in my heart ever since. The resort looks so lovely and so very nice they put the pictures up of what it looked like back than. So many memories for me. Thank you so much for your amazing video.

The theming & decor in Steakhouse 71 looks so amazing Jackie. I love the tribute wall to Mary Blair & WDW ..all that history & wonderful memories 😍 And of course those Mary Blair murals are just so cool, I think i could just gaze at them for hours!!! So thrilled you had such a lovely meal at the restaurant, your food looked delicious. x

Loved this Vlog! When it first opened Steakhouse 71 and before it The Wave there was a huge QS restaurant with hot dogs ,burgers ,fries ect inside a giant game room where kids could play video games and eat dinner It was one of my children’s fave places and why we stayed at the Contemporary Resort so many times !!

This restaurant is getting all good reviews. I am definitely trying it on my next trip. I love all the new merchandise, sometimes I want to make a trip just to get it. I would if I did not live 17 hours away…. 😢😢😢 thanks for bringing us along, I always feel like I am there experiencing it myself. 😊😊

Thanks Jackie, loved your tour of the Contemporary and of Steakhouse 71. I stayed there in 1989, and just really remember how cool it was having the monorail go through the hotel. I love the new interior decorations of the main reception area, and the olde to Mary Blair. I am hoping to get reservations for Steakhouse 71, on my 60 days out for ADR on Saturday. Fingers crossed. That Hangar steak looked delicious, extremely juicy! What a very well informed vlog. Grazie Mille, Ciao from Italy 🇮🇹

Thanks for the excellent review of Steakhouse 71 and, as always, for including the QR Code so that we can pull up the menu as we watch! The theming of the restaurant looks spectacular. The "Incredibles" theming of the rooms; not so much (in our opinion).

The Rooms at the Contemporary were NEVER meant to be replaced. This keeps getting repeated but has no basis in reality (It's just a thing someone said once that keeps getting repeated). The whole point of the new at the time modular construction method was to save money by building the rooms offsite in a factory. This saved the time and cost of moving construction crews to different floors by keeping them on ground level in a factory/warehouse off-site and then delivering the completed rooms and installing them with a crane. When the rooms were slid into the frame they were lowered onto pins that hold them in place. In order to remove one room you have to remove all the rooms above it while also disconnecting all of the power and plumbing for them.

Hello Jackie- We want to at some point try out Steakhouse 71 - Today is my Birthday and we are heading up to Disney this Monday to spend a few days- I have used your videos to guide us through the parks even though we went so many times in past years- we are now pass holders and will be spending a lot of time there- thank you for all you bring to the folks! Not sure what I did there!!!!! Hi Jackie, love your videos and this one caught our imagination. My wife and I have come to Florida for at least a month every year since about 2000 (that is apart from the last couple of years sadly). We are due to come over from the UK again in April 2022 and wondered if you have to have a Disney Pass to go to The Contemporary Resort or can you just go straight there if you are using the restaurant. The food looks amazing and we would love to try it for ourselves. I would be grateful if you could let me know. Keep up the good work, you have helped us get through the pandemic by visiting Florida vicariously through yourself and Adam The Woo.

My first trip to Disney World was in 1976! Lillians cocktail sounds amazing. What exactly does it contain? I returned for my honeymoon in 1978 . Our daughter got to enjoy Disney World beginning in 1994 and this was our Thanksgiving vacation for many years! Great memories.

Good afternoon from Fort Bragg NC, I am excited to visit quite a few places you have spoken and visited. My husband and I will be there for ten days middle of December to after Christmas for first time. Over the past five years we have always come over spring and summer to Veterans Day time frame two to three times a year. I am joyful to learn so much from you, as you go through your narrative makes us feel we are there with you. I have lunch reservations for S71 next month. After seeing some reviews I've decided on the Steak Frites, so thank you for reviewing that dish! Gonna try the French onion soup as well as the chocolate cake for dessert. I also have reservations for Kona Café a few weeks earlier, and was hoping someone would have reviewed their beef short rib entrée but so far I've found nothing. I'd gladly invite you to lunch in order for you to review it but I am doubtful you would accept.
