I always thoroughly enjoy watching Morten roaming around with is camera on his own land. I think it's because I see how happy he is to be there, but it also makes me happy to see how well everything is cared for. Or, perhaps not cared for, but allowed to thrive. So good. Also, as an aside, that Mr Jan Gear hide is pretty special. Pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. Top notch stuff.

To use your own words Morten: "This is awesome!" This video has a perfect balance of wonderful nature experiences, some cozy Danish home life, and some technical stuff for those of us who very much enjoy that aspect of photography as well. I also enjoy the wildlife trivia you often share in your videos, it is always good to be entertained while also learning something. For those of us who grew up in Danish nature a lot of this might be everyday views and knowledge, but for many of your followers from around the world, these are exotic animals! And the images .. just fantastic! You could easily put out 10 fresh calendars every year without running out of material.

My only issue is that the camera is £4000, the 400/2.8 is £13000 and the 600/4 is £15000. Please do some real-world reviews with a D500 and some used glass. (but I'm guessing Nikon Europe won't fund you). Sad..... but true. I went to photograph Red Kites on a farm in Mid-Wales. There were 50-100 photographers.... and NOBODY had expensive Nikkor prime lenses. NO ONE!! Most people had 100-500 Sigma zooms.

Oh wow. I've been watching the stream since late winter and it feels like an out-of-body experience seeing the sanctuary and camera hut from different angles. Also, great seeing Bjorn, Steve and the others in glorious 4K! This was like a more wholesome version of the Full Metal Jacket bootcamp.

What a lovely video Morten, I've just watched it and I already know that I'll be coming back to it many times in the future while sipping my morning coffee :) Z8 is really impressive, but for me it's the 400 2.8 that really does the job - man, that ability to photograph in such a low light is just something else. For now I'll stick to my good, original Z6, already managed to get so many great photos with it, love that thing! Love your videos, Morten! Thanks Morten, Its so good to see that corner of your farm (which I now know better than my own back garden) from a new perspective. Always good to watch your videos. Beautiful photos. I've have thought about whether the eye tracking would be something I would rely on. Lucky for you, you have been taking stunning photos for years without that technology. Looks like your enjoying the new photo blind. Always seem to learn something from your video. Great vid!

Great job again Morten. With wild prey animals especially, it is sudden movements and the upright human, bipedal shape that alerts them most. Crawling slowly on hands and knees, not looking directly at them and approaching at an oblique angle, is a very good way of getting close. I have used this method for a long time without startling game. Most animals don't see in colour, so camo clothes are not needed. Soft natural fabric clothing in dull colours is fine as well. Out here in California we've been suffering for about 2 months of gloomy ( April and May Gray ) Skies after watching Morden I went down and did some shorebird photography even during the gloomy gray skies and I got some beautiful Black Oystercatchers photos at the beach in Orange County California , so Morten definitely is a good influence and to get out and photograph the birds I agree .

Morten, I've had success tracking a hare's eye with the Z9 by using the small AF area, or even a custom 1x1 area, with as little background as possible included in the box. What also worked for moving hares was 3D-Tracking the head, where it would refine itself to eye tracking most of the time. Should obviously work the same on the Z8.
