I recently redid my studio from the ground up and am excited to try out a new streaming setup. So let's hang out with other audio/video production enthusiasts, chat, and ask questions!
This stream was broadcast using Ecamm Live. That's how I added all of the graphics, scenes, and comments on screen. It's the best streaming app ever.

Looks great, sounds great! Tell us about how you use that big calendar back there on the wall for planning your shows. EDIT: your review(s) of the Elgato Prompter inspired me to get one. While I primarily am using it for video calls and guitar lessons, I used it for a commercial sit down interview and direct to camera address on a client job this past Monday... and the Producer hands me 20 pages of single spaced narrative. 😮‍💨

Great video. Thanks! Sorry to have missed the live. Question: I have that same mic and it occasionally has short bursts of static. I noticed yours does too. I don’t think I’m too close to it and it’s angled at a 45 degree. Have you noticed it in this video? The last 5 minutes or so, I’m hearing it a lot. I’m running it thru a RC Duo.

I do, yes, but it depends on your space and how far away your camera is.

Where do you buy all those cool colored mic covers for your sm7b? Please tell me the website name. I absolutely love how your mics are color coordinated with your outfits! I’m also wanting the limited edition mv7 white mic and I can’t find it anywhere. I actually bought one off of eBay and found out from Shure it was a fake one! Hi Tom! Recently bought the Elgato Wave arm after watching your video. However, I didn't foresee that I would struggle to use a pop filter with it. Like you, I've got a large condenser mic on it. Most pop filters have a clamp that attaches to a stand, and the one I currently have won't stay attached to the thick Elgato arm. Do you have any suggestions? (I'm looking to upgrade to a Stedman screen specifically, which also comes in the shockmount attachment flavor, but I'd prefer a clamp one so I can easily get it out of the way when I'm not using the mic to record pro VO.)

While the yolobox is great in theory, I’ve been using it to stream ice hockey games, with varying degrees of success… biggest issue is inconsistent/ non constant frame rates….

@@tombuck been using the ultra since Dec...streaming pro hockey weekly (And the mini before that) . It's a feature packed device with no real rival (maybe the magewell director mini). Scoreboard great, overlays great, switcher great. Replays great (but limited to overall fps). As others have said... It's the software that's buggy. You'll never get a consistant frame rate. It's easy to overload the cpu (the guys at yolo say there's a 220 fps total... So stream at 60, record at 60, that's 120.... 2 inputs set up for replay, another 120, 240 total... Too many fps in total. So you have to drop fps on the replay. The hdmi out has never been solid either, fps too jerky. For some users this isn't a big deal. But for pro sports, Imho, it's just not up to the task (yet, they're constantly improving it) If you're coming from like an atem, a Roland, even vmix (or ecamm 😉)... You'll find the yolobox fascinating, amazing and frustrating all at once) Feel free to dm me about it.

Here is what I tried to do. I have two monitors and a " dummy" monitor on a HDMI plugin. I can't figure out how to send anything to it or see anything from it. My Keynotes are done for church service. Usually 40 or so slides. What I want to do is have me in one frame and them in another probably through a screen share. My notes are going to my primary monitor and split to the teleprompter monitor. I tried to use Stream Deck XL to advance slides and to change ecamm scenes. Problem sometimes the slide advance works and some times it doesn't same with scene changes. Is there any way to when I advance slides to have a multi action bring Keynote to the active screen and then advance and do the same thing when I change scenes make sure ecamm is active and then change scenes. I don't want to use Live video within Keynote not enough time in a day to change all the slides for that. I just need Keynote slide show started in a window on ecam my notes on the telepromter plus be able to see a monitor to know Im actually recording the program. I was hoping to use the dummy adapter for that. I use a MacMini with a Caldigi hub. Any ideas appreciated.

If it was me I still would’ve go for my camcorder with an analog RCA video capture for a live stream setup and set it to 4:3 for a retro feeling. (Or 16:9 for a more modern look) Yep, I never been doing a live stream for 5-6 years now and my latest stream it was from a silly little game with my really young voice. (And I still can’t even watch it because it’s too cringe to me. 😅)

Which model of Sealey chest do you have, they look perfect. I had a look at UK distributors and couldn't see one which looked similar. Agree about having things on wheels to allow for flexibility. I've learnt a lot from your channel - thanks!

That's just the camera I'm using, but it could really be any camera
