With 14 years of work experience, I could not get selected for any IT jobs reason being they want only Latvian Citizens( Finally I got one set of Interviews with Swedbank which is not a big role). Anyhow if you don't have enough money to cover all your fees and stay I would suggest not coming here. if you think you would do part-time jobs to cover your stay just forget it. And a big Advice to anyone who wants to come to Latvia to study should try to go to Germany which is more helpful for getting a job after you complete your studies (Right now Germany also going through a recession so hiring is stopped). I would recommend to better studying in Canada which is cheap and affordable and you get placed after completing your studies. get a good IELTS to try even if you fail. I came here just for a change my life is different from all, I worked in USA I have a pending Greencard process. I just took this path to stay in Europe while I get my papers to US. RTU is a good place to study but I should have joined a German University.
