You were the first guy I followed when I first got my AppleMac and you taught me all I know using Logic ProX, I thank you. I will keep following you and look forward to your future videos.
So proud of you and happy for you man. Just turned 38 myself. The decisions you’re making will pay dividends for the rest of your life. You’re a good man.
Josh your content is great and has helped me so much over the years. My Dad once told me simply ‘do what makes you happy’. I’m now a full time musician. Look after yourself and good luck with the new house and adventure😊
Congratulations on the life reboot, Josh. Health and family are equal number ones in the list of priorities. And your in-depth knowledge of Logic Pro is fabulous - whenever I come across something I'm not sure how to do in Logic, your channel is where I go to look it up and learn it. So thank you.
You're pretty much the only guy I watch when it comes down to content about Logic Pro and music creation in general and I always learn something new from every single video you make. I really like your calm and profound way of teaching things. Since I have watched your Q&A video from a few month ago I feel even more connected to you and your content because you seem to be such a genuine and likeable down-to-earth guy. You're even one of the VERY few channels for which I have activated the notification bell, so that I never miss a video. I'd like to thank you for all the content you have put out over the years and I wish you all the best for your future endeavors. I'll be along for the ride!
Learn and Mastered Logic thanks to you. Thanks for taking care of us. Now time to take care of yourself, no excuse now. You take care better of others when you take care of yourself. Be well Champ!
Loved the whole video but especially the ending . It’s no exaggeration to say that without your Logic Pro X tutorials and your channel I would never entered the world of audio production. I literally knew nothing before I started to watch your tutorials. I no longer use LPX as my primary DAW but still avidly follow your channel. Thank you for all that you do and good luck with this new chapter in your life.
Really wonderful studio and thank you so much for a studio tour! Really super proud and super happy for you Josh! You are doing super great! Wishing you all success in the world! And thank you so much for all of your hard work you do on this channel! Learning much from you all the time!
I jumped directly to the last section. Very happy to hear about your life change. I've learned a lot from you and this has been very inspiring also. Thanks for your hard hard work and enjoy the new paths you'll follow!
Really appreciated this video MTHG. In a world of gratuitous content it’s refreshing to see someone wearing their heart on their sleeve. I’m pretty certain your gamble of making music content and leaving your day gig will pay off. Your logic tutes have been invaluable. Of all the 100’s of music content creators on RU-vid you’d have to be in the top 3 for sure. (Not talking about LIKES, but straight up no nonsense solid advice). You really have a knack for this. Helping others also sharpens your own tools for your own productions. Onward and upward MTHG 🤘🏼 Love your work, love your shirt …
Loved the home studio tour Josh. Fun to get a peek behind the curtain and your update. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you moving forward, and I'm excited to make more music with you. Blue skies ahead!
All the best with getting into shape - I hear you about the sedentary lifestyle! Also wishing you all the best with the shift in work and a big thank you for all the videos you have posted, I can't begin to say how much I have learned over the years from you. Thank you!
Hey there Josh. Firstly, great life choices and well made. Secondly, thank you for years of invaluable content, without which i would not be able to create my music to satisfactorily standards. I’m 56 now with a desk day job and have had similar battles for the last 20 years with work/family life/fitness/creative needs all clashing for time and commitment. Very happy for you that you have found a balance that sounds like it’ll work for you. 👍
Josh, it's been such a crazy learning journey with you and your RU-vid channel. Echoing everyone's comments - a lot of stuff that I learnt on Logic Pro X was because of you. It really simplified my workflow as well as motivated me to not jump to other DAW's just because I don't understand certain parameters and applications😅 - That was my past life 😂. It's also the simplicity of your explanation for each lesson. Regarding your life's transition - work, health, soul and mind...Bro! Big Hugs and Bigger respects❤🫂 Thank you for sharing this part! I'm in my early 40's (41), and this is the similar stage that I'm in, where I'm working multiple sources of music based work, with teaching as the main source, along side with being part of multiple band line-ups. It comes to that point where I have to decide what is giving me joy and satisfaction, as opposed to working just for the heck of a paycheck, and not making the time for yourself to be creative. May you continue to be a source of inspiration to fellow musicians, engineers and producers. God bless and keep rocking. 🙌🏽❤️✨
Josh - I am VERY happy for you with the positive changes you are making in your life. You deserve the positivity and the other good things that come from helping others. I can't tell you how much I've learned about music production, Logic, music theory, etc. from watching your videos. IMO you are the best content creator on RU-vid in this space. Please keep creating great videos...where time permits. Can't wait to see what's next for you and this channel. Thank you again for helping me!!!
Hello ! Merci ! 😉
I’ve been watching your logic videos since I started my my music hobby. I keep going back to them for reference and for that I thanku. It’s hard to tell if the person who is the YT channel is a good person. But if I have to guess you’re probably a solid man. Thanks for all you do.
Nice presentation Josh, so happy for you and I wish you and your family all the greatest success for the future, really looking forward to the new you.
All the best for your self-employed future! I prefer your Logic videos over any other channel and I'm looking forward to more parts of the Ultimate Guide. Other creators are great too, but that series is just so linear and well thought out. Perfect for beginners.
This is a great video, it’s nice to see the person behind MTHG , i love your channel and you so deserve the support you get, congratulations on everything you have achieved so far, hope your new life brings everything you want and need from it.👍🏻
Nice one man, glad to know things are working out for you! Would love to see an updated Mixing and Mastering course on Logic Pro (Including using FabFilter plugins if possible!)...
Wish you good luck Josh! looking forward to to see your future videos and learn more! please don\t forget about dj comunity....i know you have something for us too :) Best regards, Chris
Congrats on the new place bro! looking great! Thanks for sharing! I just recentely moved, still need to assemble all my gear and figure out how to make a smaller room work. Unfortunately I don’t have a separate tracking room, and I need to share it with my wife for her office 😅, but I’m going to make it work
Dude! You gave me a heart attack in those last minutes. Thought you were quitting! I've been an avid watcher of your vids for over 10 years. You convinced me to get Logic Pro X, and then a Mac just to get it. You taught me all I know about LPX. There is no single better LPX educator on all of the internet. I was a sub here first many years ago, and then later when you had Patreon I was a sub there. Because of you I was a sub to MacProVideo for much longer than I wanted to. In fact I still am, purely because I thought you might still be releasing courses there. I purchased your own course. I've even referred people here. Even non-LPX people. While I've receded into the woodworks as far as having an online presence, your channel is one of the very few I still frequent and one of the handful I still have bookmarked. So believe me when I say I am really, really happy that you are going to continue to do what you are doing! Having said all that, I completely understand what led you to where you are. I'm glad you had a reset and took action to focus on your physical and mental health. I have been there. I myself have worked myself into the ground, ended up with some really bad consequences, had to both deal with them and then make some hard decisions. And I'm so happy that you chose to do what you love instead of focus on what might be the smarter move from some perspectives. Please, look after yourself and keep doing what you love. The world is a better place all the more for it. 💜
Congrats on the move and all the positive changes!! Love your channel - Still really new to this but most of what I’ve learned over the past year has come from soaking in your content. Seven-eight years of working like that can really take a toll on ya’. Glad to hear you’re taking care of yourself, Joshua!
Just wanted to say thank you for teaching me Logic. Being scared of learning software was the reason why I never got into music production. Your videos really broke it down perfectly for me and been making music everyday. Side note. I want the Mac studio so I don’t have to have everything connected to my laptop. Then I would get the biggest lcd and use that as a monitor mounted on the wall 😂
Congrats on your life choices and thanks for all of the content, easily the best Logic training available! Just a thought on your Pro56, have you considered using inputs 3&4 just for the hiZ instrument jack on the front?. Might free up a couple more XL inputs on the panel to save you digging around the back?
Congrats Josh on your new life's chapter! If ya want to do healthy the right way, Please learn what ketosis is and get yourself in it. "Weight" (fat) will fall off, but that will be the least of the amazing benefits you'll get. It heals SO many things bro! If you do, You can also check out a great YT channel on the subject from Dr Ken Berry. All the best to you!
No cloud lifter, but I would recommend it if you're using it for sung vocals especially. Just maxed out the gain, and got a good processing chain on it.
Hey Josh. Thanks for the update. If you have the time, would you make a content on how to resolve logic pro constantly scanning all plugins (even though they've already validated)? I've reached Apple Logic Pro feedback and no replies yet. I've also tried deleting audio cache files as suggested by some RU-vid videos. Nothing works for now. I'm only on Trial version and this issue is hampering my decision to get Logic Pro. Or, is this issue a known bug with Logic Pro?
Congratulations for the soft retirement. Incorporate Yoga into your life to get younger and more energetic. But not that twist and bend yoga. Learn kriya yoga. It works internally. Google inner engineering. As a musician , teacher and music producer myself being calm , energetic and happy is much necessary. And I never want to give in to intoxication for those things.
Happy for you. I totally agree on what you’re saying about our life style being in a Studio for many hours can change us. Again glad to hear your new Plans 🙏☺️🎚🎧George Amodei
