Man it turned out to be really good Steve! I was a little concerned with all the tip and base talk 😂 but it turned out to be a gem of a hot glue gun, price is right too! Thanks buddy!
Thanks Steve - all of your review videos are interesting and I think your bench test methods are a good measure test. My garage has several tools that you reviewed including the air gauge from last week and the leaf blower you reviewed years back. While Im not in the market for a glue gun, I could use a heat reading gun like you used in this video. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, thanks and cheers, Ed
Nice! How did you know I was in the market for a hot glue gun? I was thinking that if that thing stayed at 100W it would melt the plastic gun housing in a matter of minutes.
How did they get a CSA certification with the improper labeling on the switch? Someone could think they are turning it off and it is actually still on. Retailers are not allowed to sell electrical appliances without the CSA sticker. Is there a CSA label? If you bought this online how can we expect retailers to compete? What do you think?
Is CSA certification mandatory in Canada? Affixing a CSA marking is not mandatory in Canada. CSA is often mistaken for the equivalent of the marking known in the European Union as the CE marking. However, the CSA marking is not legally required but a voluntary certification. Buying online or a local retailer most times has the exact same ratings as both sell the exact same items they themselves have ordered online from a foreign source . Cheers Francis
No gong show! Turned out to work great (although it had us all worried at the beginning). On another note, I can officially make a bigger mess with a glue gun vs any other human on earth! 😂
So that heat gun turned out being pretty good.....ya, sometimes we have to give things a chance but it’s a crap shot with all the wing wang stuff and some of it is just not worth it.....Good review.....CHEERS
@@SteveRobReviews The higher temperature of the glue is what creates a stronger bond than the low watt guns. The smoke shows how much hotter it gets though so it's still a good demonstration.
The old glue gun might rely on thermal balance - designed to not get too hot as long as you are feeding glue thru at the proper rate. If you try to feed too fast it doesn't melt. If you don't feed fast enough it can cook the glue. A better design uses a larger heater with thermostat control to maintain the proper temperature no matter how fast or slow you feed the glue. To know, you need to measure the power used when it is cold and the power is first applied.
So far it can dispense glue very fast on the 100w setting , faster than I would use it in most cases . I think it's going to work out fine for my needs . Cheers 👍
How's she goin'? That was interesting eh!! It looked like a dud but it's doing the job and what else can you do eh!! I agree, it's a keeper. Take care!!!
Dispenser, lol, now that is what that is called? Police carry a "Dispenser" lol. I don't remember the last time I used my Glue Gun. Odd for them to use that switch. They screwed you on the watts! Wing Wang Product! Well how about that, the guy that created it is smarter than Steve!
i will say i like the tip on that forsure seems to be ok after all it works thats what counts price is right as well but for the number of times i use a glue gon i have two a real small on and a big one so i dont think ill ever need another glue gun in my life time lol
