Aglaope is wonderful! I'm K34 and I put a maximum of 5 dollars into the game per month. I am an active player in Ymir, Pan and the rest of the events. You big players who can beat level 4 and 5 Pan also fail to see from the perspective of smaller players. I manage to beat max level 3 Pan without getting hurt (and that depends on what type of pan it is). Aglaope for me was wonderful, extraordinary! The only way for small players and smaller alliances to benefit from Pan level 5 resources (but with 0 wounds). Evony always makes bad decisions but this time Aglaope is awesome!
This (like so many others) could have been a good update. All it would have taken is the ability to upgrade purple subs as well. That way lower level players would have some f*cking hope. That's what makes most of the updates so bad. I don't mind that they want to make money but they do it by absolutely dismissing the wider community.
Coiners need new avenues for spending their money and Evony is doing a great job bringing new stuff (and generals) every time. It was annoying for me at first as F2P player but looking from the perspective of heavy coiners, it's actually good. As for the sub upgrades, they probably made Japan buffs poor because that's what pvp players fight for.
I guess that’s probably right, and I generally don’t have an issue with Evony catering to the big spenders. The problem is that it seems like they are ONLY catering to them, which is not cool imo.
Too bad they didn't allow upgrades on purple and maybe blue subcities. It's so hard to get golds without spending like a drunken sailor. (I usually make minimum bids on golds just because you never know, but I wouldn't bet on getting one.) For the hammers, you have to coin. Once in a while I will get a level 2 cake, so I have 5 whole hammers. Woo-hoo!
I'll post again. But yes Aga... Agalope... whatever. What a payout! Incredible. I'm glad I watched my keep get after it. No one announced anything. But watching everyone else and attacking a couple myself I understood. I had to post this at 29 seconds in. I'm hooked. And you are right of course. It sucked.
The subs I tend to hold (Arabia and Korea) did pretty good. Unfortunately getting gold keys on my server is really tough. Golds typically get bid of up to 1.5m for Japans and Russia. Even arabia can get 200-300k. I like the idea, but unless bosses start dropping keys and hammers, I dont think ill see them. Maybe the AGs will with L2. that woudl probably solidify them as the most useful boss.
I hoped for my self that the Koreans get a additional buff for even more bonus rss. But the point number 5 in the mail is in some way interesting if you don’t care about Arabic subs, you can loan one is you need prestige for a better rank maybe and when you give it back you get your hammers and frags back too.
I regularly give subs away, but I am full of epics. So I only bid for 20% to get a frag here and there. The result is I've been able to compile 20+ subs for F2p players around the server, but if I win the search off only 20%, I always ask the folks bidding on it to send me a screenshot of their percentage contribution...and then I give it to them. It's no skin off my nose, and it helps with overall goodwill on a frequently contentious server
FYI its not available on most red subs - I think its only Historic subs, not Famous subs. Also when I checked earlier you HAD to decompose a whole sub city key, the fragments in my inventory did not show up as an option to use.
Oh really?! 😲 I’m surprised they don’t work for the famous cities. I guess maybe because those are harder to get...🤔🤷♂️ Hmmm, that’s interesting with the key fragments. I just assumed it was because I didn’t have enough of them. Thanks for the info 😊🙏
Did you see the new buildings in ideal land? I got one, I think from an event, but I'm not sure which one so I don't know how to get another one to upgrade it. 😂

Hmm! Sounds like ascension but for subs, why cant Evony just listen to players input more, i all this business of we give you random stuff in a $100 box is blasphemy
