So with no DSP they are not competing against SVS but monolith. By the numbers we have they don't even compete with them.

I think that is debatable. But I am also curious. Monoprice had a lot of raw specs published. And several people have independently verified those measurements. The only raw numbers you can compare the Klipsch with are driver size, xmax and amplified power. The amplified power doesn’t mean anything without taking into consideration the drivers sensitivity which is an unpublished spec. And we don’t know exactly how they measure xmax so we will have to wait until others do their own independent measurements. I am very curious to see how the Klipsch sub compared to both Monoprice and SVS. But we don’t have enough information right now to compare the two.

My 2 new Klipsch RP-1600SW's are being delivered Monday. I can't wait to try them out. Replacing 2 R-115sw's (of course the amps are blown on them).

@@demonreturns4336 I'm really enjoying them! The finish matches my other Klipsch RP speakers, so I like it (I know some think it isn't on par with high end speakers). The sound is amazing. In fact, with my Audyssey calibration they are turned down pretty low and have a ton of room to increase the power. Just another notch up on the sub gain knob and they turn into real monsters. HUGE improvement over my previous Klipsch subs. I think the biggest notable improvement over my previous R-115SWs is the bass really fills the room and hits you in the chest if you want it to. I have a huge space and they do pressurize it compared to the older models.

They are going after SVS subwoofers.

$700 for a 10" ? GTFO there is no way that is going to be competitive with SVS or Monoprice, that is no where near a value. Even if Klipsch is close in performance, in order to win mind market share from SVS and Monoprice, they are going to have to bring deep price cuts. Maybe that's what they will do, with their sales days.
