How Farms Work is a RU-vid channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. Our videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and GMO crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.
Be sure to subscribe for new videos every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 11AM Central!

I built and tore down bins for two summers while in high school. We used jacks with a hand winch, but like you said, once you get a rhythm, they go right up. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, can’t wait to see the rest!

Wow, I expected the bin to be a bit taller, but after seeing the part where you explained how the Jack's will lift it so you can add more extensions I now understand how these are built. Thank you For the education.

I think it's safe to say a whole lot of people have been waiting for this video. I'm genuinely surprised it stayed dry enough within the last two weeks for you to get it going. That gigantic Sukup decal looks like it needs a HFW logo emblazoned on it somewhere in the corner, just to personalize the bin a bit more than it already is. Nice to see the Dewalt in action, by the way. Thanks for the video.

@jamestroutman7517 6 лет назад
OETIOHeavyLifter you are wrong actually. I work for a steel processing company and we cold roll and form the steel for Sukup. Sukup is one of our biggest customers and we make the steel in Delta Ohio. Comes in on trucks in coils. We then send it through a process to get an acid bath, then it’s sent through a galvanizing line to get coated then through a slit line to get cut to length and size.
@rollinlowford
@rollinlowford 6 лет назад
so you get it on a truck... you dont make the steel... at least thats what you just posted lol likely came off a ship and is reworked and then its considered made in america.

@tonsssedell4318
@tonsssedell4318 5 лет назад
Depends on how resourceful and qualified the farmers are. Often a contractor is hired and the farmer and/or his family members assist. Even if they don't take part in actual builders' or specialists' jobs, their presence may be important. There's a bunch of tools, machines and materials on any farm and it could make a difference between smooth operation and interrupting work should a situation arise.
