This is legendary! A lot of Mario medleys out here with the same songs over and over, really appreciate the variety in this one! Your voice is beautiful and I can't imagine the countless hours you spend arranging, recording and mixing! Big kudos to you my friend :D
He has a pitch shifter. Some of the high notes are real chipmunky, which gives it away. On top of that, he’s audibly using pitch correction. If you didn’t notice, there’s also some whistling to cover the real high stuff, but that’s authentic enough.
@@Marsaw Khol does a really impressive authentic range though. He showcases it a lot with Instant Classic. Like I'd bet that most of the audio is really him, with just a bit shifted
@@kohlkitzmiller Can you please do "A Short Break in Toad Town" from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story? In fact, an entire Mario & Luigi Medley would be great, but at least do that song, PLEASE!!!
When I clicked on this I thought it would be a medley of the New Super Mario Bros. series (DS, Wii, 2, U / Luigi U / U Deluxe) but it turned out to be so much more. Thanks for the music, man.
The nostalgia burns bright with this one and I was driven to tears. This was so well done. I've played almost every single one of the games listed except Origami King though. I'm getting there. Also can we just talk about how your vocal range is like butter? Damn it's so smooth.
I'm smiling so hard watching this- I know this was a huge project for you and I can tell you worked so hard on it! Also, the editing is so much fun! And please never stop doing these funny little outros awkwardly not asking us to subscribe - they never fail to make me smile
This must have pushed your range as a creator so much - not just vocally of course! There's so much creative video editing, so many complex arrangements, and so much attention to detail keeping the spirit of the original tracks while adding your own personality and sense of humour. Not to mention a lot of t-shirts. Really looking forward to the next Kohl project, whenever it arrives.
You've managed to capture the emotions of every song, and your smile makes it so much more fun and contagious while listening to these wonderful themes! I am amazed by your range and how you've brought me back to several of these games. In short, this is amazing, and you did an awesome job!!
I appreciate that you went more some for some obscure deepcuts instead of just the well-known ones. Like, Toad Town? Cloudy Court? ANTASMA?! You used some hidden gems!
I really wanted to get a memorable one from each notable and relevant series. I really wanted something from the Mario & Luigi Gameboy series, so I researched until I found one that was universally like and musically memorable!
This looks like it took an unfathomable amount of work to listen, transcribe, arrange, perform, record, edit, produce, and film. Like, Lord of the Rings movies-level work.
When this showed up in my recommended, I was expecting another lackluster performance. This absolutely blew me away with just how good this was! Not only is the quality of the remixes themselves on par with the Legendary Smooth McGroove himself, but you *CRUSHED* it with the edits! Every. Single. Song, without fail, got me to either sing along enthusiastically, or burst out laughing. Several of them both! Bravo good sir. Bravo!
DAMN. first Video I saw from you, and it took me a LONG time to notice that you're not one of those big singing youtubers but not even have 2k subscribers! The production value of this video is easily on par with one of those 20M subs channels! It sounds great, the cut is more entertaining than it has any right to be, and the sheer amount of mario/nintendo-themed outfits alone is worth an upvote. also, 40?? freaking songs? I go out to buy a hat just so I can take it off for you.
AWESOMESAUCE, KOHL!!!!! You never cease to amaze! Honestly and instantly my favorite multitrack video ever - the most fun!! I hope you make so many more of these! Movie themes next??
Medleys like this usually just focus on the Super Mario games, but I’m so glad you included music from the Paper Mario series! Those are some of my favorites and the music is spectacular.
You don't know how happy I was to hear an Acapella of a Paper Mario game theme, even if it was just a few seconds. :D Great work putting this together!
Man, I'd pay you if you could do Toad Town into a full version (doesn't even have to be 1 hour like the other songs). PLEASE!!! PLEASE READ THIS and consider it, the full version is all I want. I keep replaying those few seconds again again. Thanks
Hello, I am new. This video came in my recommended and oh my gosh. You saw good at acapelling all my favourite songs. I abouslety liked and subscribed to your channel. Even no one acappela these songs. Great work and effort. I wish that these songs have a full version.
I would absolutely adore a rhythm heaven compilation like this one. That series has some seriously amazing songs that go under appreciated in my opinion and I’d love to see an acapella approach to them
Hey Kohl, this is too good. This is the type of content that I would feel guilty if I didn’t pay to view and enjoy it. The quality and everything is absolutely gold. Thank you so much for making this, and I look forward to more.
as a hardcore mario fan i absolutely loved this piece im also loving acapellas so this is PERFECT for me!! im so shocked i didnt find this sooner! i wasn't expecting mario & luigi and mario rpg or even paper mario because most other medleys dont even know these! im so glad you included those bangers in!
The work you put into this was absolutely worth it! I loved jamming to every theme that was used in it. Fantastic job on this man! In case you do plan on doing another one of these videos, I have three suggestions on what the next series you cover could be: 1. The Legend of Zelda: This series is a common second favorite for most people who play Nintendo games and it has a variety of good themes from its games, so most would probably enjoy jamming to themes from this series coming after Mario. I personally haven't played the Legend of Zelda games much, I'm just going off of the popular opinion for this one. 2. Sonic the Hedgehog: If people don't think of Zelda as a series that would come after Mario, then this would be the series that's next in line for them. This series also has a variety of catchy themes that you would listen to while platforming, but the later games in the series tend to be a bit more action-based or extreme with their music composition, so I'm not sure how you would feel about doing something like that. 3. Kirby: Another series that started with platforming and has a variety of themes that would also be catchy to listen to. This one's primarily because of my own personal interests and probably wouldn't be chosen over Zelda or Sonic, but I believe a good chunk of people would still want this, maybe even as a potential 3rd or 4th composition.
my man. hot daymn that was good. well done future idea - anime opening medley . some anime have amazing opening songs, for example attack on titan season 1, which could make for cool video imo. anyway ill keep enjoying your stuff :)
