I love how they had the game play a couple tricks on you in the Wii version! First off, the game tricks you into thinking you've already won as easily as the DS version, but then Peach turns around and it is actually Magikoopa (aka Kamek). Also, before the final phase commences, where Bowser has grown into a beeg-beeg boy, the game also tricks you into thinking the room you're in is small, but then the camera pans out and it's actually an entire level behind Mario! So you gotta help him get through it as Bowser destroys everything behind you!

I feel like this was the best boss fight and most memorable in my opinion

And they brought it back in the Mario Bros. movie!

NSMB Bowser gets too much praise. It’s literally just Bowser Jr. and Bowser both of them being a boss you’ve fought a million times at that point. Can’t call NSMB 2 Bowser lazy because the original was just Bowser from the first game in the series and putting in another opponent and an extra move.

@@woo_shynen8805 if we're excluding 3d games, then yes. New Super Mario Bros Wii has some fascinating gimmicks and levels to play around with. I honestly like the levels in Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario 64 so much more. Galaxy especially has some of the best gimmicks seen in Super Mario platformers.

So, if you risked you're life to save someone, get tricked then get chased by an even bigger threat, you'd want at least some reward too, am I wrong or am I correct.

​@Jack Smith I don't think so. He does contact damage in about all of them, but I think the closest thing he ever does to a body slam is a jump-and-crush attack in mario 3. As for a successful wall jump, I wouldn't know, but I think he still could because he's so muscular. Good luck with that fight animation, I'll be looking forward to seeing it!
