The game "STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl" should not be on this list. It's a completely different genre. Instead of this game should be the game "Survival: Fountain of Youth".
I feel like with URE5 we are going to enter an era where many games look amazing but are shallow and basic but at the same time see unbelievable masterpieces.
@@Mister_Grey_ If thief goes back to their older games but with UE5 that would be amazing. But they would have to stick to the original the best they can with added realism. I always loves the first thief game as it was something fun and new to me that was executed brilliantly with many bugs that I found since I loved exploring too much. ;) I can never forget all of the guards comments.
i am affraid that games will, in their core, feel somewhat the same cuz they all are made in UE5. so i hope UE5, as awesome as it is, wont be some kind of gold-standard for most dev's in the future. but wtf do i know?!
I mean it's a concept in big netflix productions like Kingdom already but yeah it's cool because there is no way that we humans today would realistically lose to zombies. But Medieval? Must be real horror going in with swords and bows only instead of MG42 mowing em down
Blight Survival. FINALLY a game where developers are really putting effort into animations to really pull you into the world. Fantastic job on that gameplay trailer. RDR2 level animations and flow. Hopefully they fill an expansive world, and have many features to keep people playing. That is certainly one to watch and could be the next great game!
another game with stealth mechanics where enemies are literally blind and deaf, that annihilates immersion for me, am I supposed to wanna buy the game after seeing this ? and I'm not even talking about the random materials you find on monsters which are rated with "rare" or "uncommon" **I** decide if a material is useful or not, I don't need to be held by the hand everywhere I bet they'll fill their map with a thousand icons everywhere to keep people's attention because they can't survive a 10min walk and appreciate graphics or sound or anything that is slow paced The atmosphere is great tho, with a few mod the gameplay could *maybe* follow
@@user-qv5ko8qk4r The item rarity is useful because i don't want to care around useless items just cause i think they are useful and from want the trailer showed the gameplay is well done
@@supersoldierde4987 but I thought it was supposed to be a survival game, every item should have a use We have different taste, for me it felt really unrealistic and immersion is ruined
@@user-qv5ko8qk4r Then don't play it? Also not sure where you got the idea that zombies are blind and/or deaf. And developers can absolutely decide in their own game what they want to label as what rarity. You're just being petty at this point.
First of all, common, uncommon, and rare items almost never dictate their usefulness, just a way of telling the player what is and isn't readily available.
@@ghandigreen Wait... what? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you don't know what focal length is. Just so you know, every piece of information you need about the focal length can be gathered by simply watching some gameplay. I don't need to play the game to tell that the viewing angle is extremely narrow. All my comment means is that the camera is extremely close to the character and you can't see very much to the left and right of him. That's all focal length changes. Also a little on top and bottom, but mostly the sides.
@@brando3342 Sorry if I'm wrong, but isn't that similar to FOV? Most games let you change FOV. Especially 3rd person games, most of them let you move the camera around.
@@sonicdml4175 That’s okay! Yes, it’s the same as FoV. Sorry, I just work on cartoons, and we use the term “focal length” as is on a camera. You are correct though, they are the same thing 👍
I dunno, I think Blight Survival and Rooted are more genuine than the rest. I have faith in STALKER 2 but GSC Gameworld are definitely playing it safe with their trailers. But there's no way the devs of Blight Survival went through all that trouble to code and decorate the entire scenario, just for a lil movie, as you say. You can tell the animation has some genuine error to it, instead of being a polished cinematic. Level Zero on the other hand? 100% just a movie on rails.
That first dinosaur video clip is a dream of mine. I'm a huge Jurassic Park/World fan and always wished for a deeply JP/W immersive game. Although this game isn't officially JP/W I'll take something similar like this.
We need a survival game where we can be the animals...no fun in a human body when its a SURVIVAL game. Switching it up will allow us to get bigger and even earn other animals...haven't seen a game yet where we can operate anything more than 15 meters...
@@marc-etiennemercier6584 for a time I was living under THE rock. You know? Dwayne the rock Johnson? He absolutely stank, always grinding up against me. But he would always whisper sensually into mine sensitive little ears, the names of C rated games currently in development and their budgeting forecast so I had some understanding of whether the project would make or break.... Then the rock would pile drive me head first into concrete so I would forget everything he just told me, but I was smart and did have my phone on record the whooooole asss time haha. Up yours dwayne
Stalker always deserved more attention. All 3 are terrifying masterpieces. I can say without a shadow of doubt that stalker is the best game I have ever played. I can't ever shake the feeling of wanting more which I've resorted to playing lost alpha, anomaly or even stalcraft for fucks sake. I just want more stalker, I need it.
I've been waiting for this since 2010... The game was announced then GSC went quiet. Ultimately it got cancelled. Imagine the heartbreak we've experienced back then. However, STALKER is too freakin tough to die. The fanbase, the devs, the modders, everyone keeps it going. I can't wait to get my hands on this game
I was watching this video and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. Then I went and rented a projector in a big field, and my entire town watched it, and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful. Thank You for this video….
Just trying to be a clever c××t like the knobs on Facebook think they are witty & funny but no they are predictable & boring. If he said something original well that would be a different matter 🥱
why is everyone speaking fluent english in chornobyl?. this looks like east europe, make them speak their native tongue with here and there english in it like the metro games.
@@SENPAI.Popaii If you prefer original - play Ukrainian with Eng subs, you will be able to. Trust me that will be the most canonical one, bc it will display caracters in a wider maner, considering previous Stalker games. Ukr localization means characters will speak different languages and there will be content correlation with their believes.
Oh... Don't get your hopes that high. That's like hoping for the next Elderscrolls game to be as good as the previous one with 10 years of mods to pick from.
The reason there are a huge pile of mods for current STALKER is the engine itself. Grigorovich basically gave a greenlight to mod it, leaving it on an open source-like state (not entirely, but still). The fact STALKER2 is on UE5 means there won't be much mods for it, and definitely not huge ones like Anomaly.
@@Meenousemusic how does it compare to UE5 tho? always thought UE4 and also UE5 were perfect for mods even game changing ones... (From the trailer the first mod i will search for will be an advanced AI mod for sure.. those stalkers fire all over the place and tank like 15 bullets...)
The Lost Wild looks really awesome. However, Magic To Master, which will be released in 2023 among the classic mmorpg games, is really great. Its similarity to the Metin2 game brings it to the forefront and the controls made for both KnightOnline and Metin2 players are great.
probably because smooth and real = $20000 of pc to run it smooth... but realistic wise, if you dont have a $3000 gpu you proabably play this at 800x600 at 5 fps... lol just like the hype with Star Citizen. I expect in to fail, noone will buy a pc just to play 1 game.
I just hope with how good unreal makes games look pretty much on its own creators can spend less time and money on graphics and put more of their resources into the rest of the game
Blight Survival looks absolutely amazing. Looks "A Plague Tale - Requiem", but this time, you're one of the soldiers. I hope it's going to be a good game...
Seeing Vin Diesel in the Ark 2 Trailer makes me want remastered versions Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Escape from Dark Athena and a new game in that franchise. Always wanted Microsoft to make those games backwards compatible with Series X enhancements to resolution and frame rate. Such an underappreciated couple of games.
We don't know much about this game, but i find it interesting too. What I like is that the devs seem to make the effort to create a map and a more original environment than the ultra generic and boring forests that we have in 80% of survival games... I really can't stand these shitty maps that boil down to a forest of conifers without originality as I can see by walking 5min leaving my house...
@@nawack2774 I totally agree, the world that we got to see looks so beautiful with its actually vibrant colors and animals (at least the ones in the trailer). It´s really something we haven´t seen in almost any game, ever. And not to mention the size, it looks like an enourmus environment!
It is much easier to design environments and levels with UR5, I doubt you'll need amazing artists for that. That is why I am concerned that all games will look alike in the future because they will all be using the same assets and addons. Like someone else said on youtube "script kiddies that just graduated uni"
@@DDosAndDonts I'm not concerned about that. Asmongold explained it best, which convinced me. If all games start looking alike because they are are using photorealistic assets, then that leaves room in the market for even more talented artists to differentiate themselves by implementing stylistic graphics. This problem is only a temporary one until enough people get over the infatuation with UE5 graphics. Give it 2-3 years and the problem will solve itself.
stalker is on a whole different level than half life to be honest. Half Life is good but i dont think it compares to the scale of the first 3 stalker games. (i know the stalker 2 name is confusing when its really the 4th)
In Blight Survival a knight in iron armor, silently crawling through a swamp 20 steps from the enemy, who in such an environment should aggro at every rustle - well, very realistic!)))
I feel like the problem with URE5 is that even though all the games are unique and different from one another they all still feel very similar for some reason... not sure exactly how else to "word" this but it feels like all these games are happening in the same physical universe. I suppose this is expected since it's the same engine but i worry this will cause a sort of BLAH effect over time.
You're a few generations too late. You've always been able to identify an URE game from the rest. Its the lighting and shadows and the way they produce depth. Each URE looks different from its predecessor (some were big jumps) but you could always tell, its sorta their thing. The 360 era has a lot of URE examples GOW, Unreal Tournament, Mass Effect, Army of Two, Rainbow Six Vegas, and countless more.. Look at Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War, almost identical, but then you can look at Army of Two although a much brighter game you can still see it. I think URE5 is one of those "big jumps".
They can keep making the games more realistic looking... I think that's great. But they need to also write good stories. I don't see that happening any time soon.
1: THROW THE FLARE 2: Lookin like its all player controlled movement. no popup saying "press Y to kill" or "press X to dodge". Graphics are unreal lol 3: I'm confused... it looks so good, but what is it? 4: Weird bats... also, weve gone from zombie games to dinosaur games... great. 5: I don't like the dragonfly planes, but this looks like it could be cool... its gotta be played like monster hunter tho. 6: S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: probably not mutants. 7: Hopefully the only dino game to matter. We can do parkour now. 8: Get this dude a coat, damn... 9: Looks like it could be more fun that harry potter... if it works. 10: Absolutely love the art style. id be willing to wait even longer so the game is 100% fleshed out. 11: This is what fallout wanted to be 12: Gotta love a good ol' ragdoll 13: Fortnite graphics simulator 14: This is awkward...
