That kitchen sink is a deal breaker for me. But......if I got it for the right price I'd pull the stove out completly (I use a 1 burner induction anyways), get a new counter and put in a bigger sink since there appears to be plenty of room in the cabinet.
1) No T.V.????? Oh cherish the thought that one would actually have to be forced to enjoy what Mother Nature had to offer, or actually relax by a fire 🔥 and read a book or magazine. 😂. One could always listen to the radio. 📻 2) The windows are unique. 3) Deeper sink would be better agreed. I suppose being a larger pot or tub to use to wash dishes. 4) Glad to see a Goodyear for the spare, but can one get a matching rim? 5) Those stairs are fine with me. 6) Bile rack should be an option. 37) Nice video
This would be a perfect camper for a single person or a young couple who like to go off grid for a short period. It reminds me alot of my old 23b that I modified by making the front dinette a permanent queen bed. I also hung my tv off the side of the upper cabinet like you suggested, worked perfect. I even ran the cords inside the cabinet for a cleaner look. I like this unit. Keep up the good videos.
That is a solid solo rig 🙂! I actually prefer no tv mount, I tend to consume entertainment on my PC or tablet, which can be set anywhere. Narrow body means it will fit just about any camp site!
I have a 1999 Coachmen Catalina 225 QB that is almost identical to this layout. It doesn't have a slide so we cut the dinette down to a two seater that turns into a couch. I like the larger bathroom in this model but ours has more counter and cabinet space. Not a bad little model. Oh, ours is a two axle unit too.
TV's are overrated/Deprecated mostly. With all the online/internet streaming stuff, most peeps get their entertainment on a tablet, notebook, computer, phone etc. so this thing not having a TV isn't a big deal to probably many of us, or at least me. Great lil' camper! Cheers !
I do kind of like the no tv hookups. I do NOT like no open storage by the front by the bed. Full width bathroom is fantastic. Losing closet and pantry space for that is a good trade. Open storage above the bed is not a concern for me. The robe hook on the door should have finished edges on the support piece. It's at eye level and looks cheap with cut end exposed. ALWAYS prefer premium steps. These are highly adjustable and a couple of extra plywood pads is all you need to level it out.
God bless, no TV hookup! We yeeted our TV out of there and used the space for wall storage. Shower misers should be industry standard. Trash bin space in RVs is the most under rated feature. I'm not too fond of the circle windows. It looks cartoonish to me. Let's talk about that Timberwolf next to it, did Cherokee create their version of the Ibex RSV1 and 2?!
It's perfectly fine with me to have no TV and no TV hookups. I can get better cheaper if I want a TV, and really my plan is my big-screen monitor on my PC and a projector if I just want to watch something on a bigger screen.
This floorplan has so much potential👍but no ladder, no TV and a cheap entry level bathroom with a plastic toilet and a shower curtain was disappointing😢
@@jshoota19ify For an extra couple hundred bucks a manufacturers can give you quality instead of crap in a $20,000-$30,000RV👍but choosing not to says a lot to me how they feel about their customers🫤
Real nice! They could have done a little better on the packages, like solar and optional bike rack. But other than that, I bet the outdoor enthusiasts will love it. As for a tv goes, people can watch stuff on their laptop.
No TV. I go camping to get away from the rat race and the noise. If you need a TV, bring a small portable one or set your DVR to record what you miss. I really don't like paying for options that are useless in the grand scheme of camping out. Just like B.Y.O.B. , if you want it, you bring it.
Cool camper for single camper or single with a kid or two. No TV hookup might go back to the no electronics rule, but not sure everyone would want. For me electronics is the camera on my phone. A mount point would probably be a good standard item. I do think campers should have a way of carrying bikes, while not everyone does I would say a majority does. With more and more people getting electric bikes that rack won't work. For regular bikes it's not a bad location. Not sure how easy it is to get a bike off to help scout out an area. The bathroom and travel mode is really good for the size. Kitchen sink should probably be a bit bigger.
This would be a great solo rv. I am getting shorter so the bed is ok, and I don’t watch tv……I like an ipad, and 7 feet wide is easier visibility when driving. The big problem is single axle….if you get a flat tire do you tip over? When we were camping, even tho I had room for a tall kitchen garbage pail….but i got a short container with a tight fitting top, which would not invite mice
As for TV in a camper. I don't need it. I do have a small Tablet that I can download " videos " if I chose to, but I really only do that during hurricane season in Florida. 😅
Yeah, by not having a TV hook up option, you would think as a business/manufactor, you wouldn't want to limit a product to just a certain consumer, and yes it definitely needs a showermizer if you're targeting the dry camping/boondocking Campers. The Showermizer is super useful and makes the most sense.
@Erin-Thor yes, I guess the intention was to target boondocking, but it's nice to have the option if you decide to "rv park it" once in a while. Plus, they need to put that Showmizer. It's a game changer for boondocking.
@@jshoota19ify Agree, but I was thinking their goal was to keep the weight and cost down. Every time I see web nets instead of doors I think stick built cheap as it gets build. My heart is on an ember, but so many unsatisfied customers.
Josh: The 19R is an OK travel trailer if it wern't for that pesky slide out. When you're able please review the slideless EXPLORE 17R by Coachmen. Now there's a trailer that meets ALL the rest stop/truck stop/ crackerbarrel criteria. Respectfully, W.S.
For a really small TT that an SUV could tow it's a great singles TT or couples TT. I like the rear bath the only thing I would change is by adding a shower enclosure that bows out to add 7" to the width other than that, it's great.
This has everything I need. Except a bigger sink. I have a 14 inch portable TV runs about 3 hours on battery plus a big iPad if I had to hunker down inside during a rainstorm. Full size bed is plenty big for me. I’m not planning on sharing it. Grandkids are small enough to sleep on that sofa. My current RV is a class T (tent) the kids can sleep outside in that if they still want to go camping with Grandma when they get older. Curious what the price is with the solar package. Not on the website yet.
Thanks Nerd! Oh, you are brilliant for including this on the heels of the monthly showing solo female RVers increasing! Kitchen sink - The smaller size will absolutely work for some. Not a lot of room for storing kitchen stuff, usually only cooking simple meals for 1-2, and leaving dirty dishes in a small space = cluttered and have nothing to eat off of then. If someone is making a bigger batch of something in a crockpot for multiple days of leftovers, a collapsable dishpan is probably in their future. TV - Not needed in every camper from the factory. Even if someone did full-time in this model, most likely would use a tablet, phone or computer to watch streaming. If possible, I think I would mount one of those crazy every-which-way articulating computer monitor arms on hanging wardrobe/nightstand to watch in bed. Blue sofa - Like it without seeing true color. Blue is pretty neutral and that didn't look graish compared to other colors in the camper. In person, I bet it all comes together well. Bathroom - Drawer not cabinet door unless the manufacturer feels since located behind the axels too much bounce will work drawer track screws out faster than the door hinge screws. Or maybe drawer face would hit door trim. The bike rack - I am not sure. If the manufacturer gave me a choice between the bike rack in the front or the attached ladder in the back/included telescoping ladder, I would choose the ladder.
The funky bike rack...leave it on you can dry clothes out on it....if the kitchen sink is big enough...or is it dinky? The more Ryde steps are much safer...and easier to go in and out.Needs a entrance step handle for safety. Needs to comply to ADA standards.Oh it has one.
Interesting not my cup of tea but I can see why someone would choose it. I am a biker but I am terrified to strap my $4000 e bike on those racks and watch it giggle bang around back there. It rides in the bed of my truck.
At home I watch almost all entertainment on my PC, laptop or iPad Pro, including live TV shows on broadcast channels. But when I travel, I love being able to watch the morning/evening news, weather and whatever. So I would like a simple TV in an RV, a BIG TV if it were right above a desk of some sort where I could get some work done. 😊
The #1 reason I wouldn’t buy this is the graphics. Waaaaay too much and over done. Seriously. It’s a Coachman, and Remote, we get it. There’s no reason to plaster every blank spot with a sticker. These are too big, too in your face, and just way too many. Chillax decal dude! Ever put a model together as a kid and and use the remaining leftover stickers from other models on your current one? That’s this camper. No one wants a rolling billboard. I do like the bathroom and the quality of interior detail, fit and finish. It seems really well built. Thanks for sharing with us!
I will happily trade a tv mount for that absolutely great glass window coverage. I normally am not a fan of slide outs, but to get that comfortable and usable interior, I will gladly go for that slide out. Campsite and front window views at just plain awesome. Then you also get great Gladys Kravitz snoopy window coverage on the road side as well. Ding ding ding -SCORE on this puppy. And you also have a rear window in the bathroom! Extra points!
Our first camper didn't have a TV and we were fine for 10 years. Our new rig has a TV and recliners. My hubby lives that TV. I don't care because I keep myself entertained with my phone. I will never give up our reclining sofa though😅
We didn’t have a TV either, but I was in my 20’s then and I sat outside at a picnic table in the pouring rain and I liked it😳now I need theater seating and a TV when it rains all weekend😂
Eh... I think Josh captured this with the word cute. Beyond that, it's not very functional and can't see why anyone would buy this over something like a geopro with the same floor plan.
Well, as tall people age, they shrink a bit. The small bathroom & kitchen remind me of dorm life . Based on going to college in the late '80's and living in dorms made in the 1940's, I can tell you there are so many international manufacturered items that collapse into inches, one could live the " high life " in that camper. 😊
I like the round windows on the outside. Gives the trailer some individualized style. This trailer would be stunning with a custom wrap on the outside.
I wish it at least had hookup for tv. Doors for clothes above bed. But I like the kitchen. Small sink doesn't phase me...I'd rather have counter space😁
One of the first things I did when I got my camper was to take out the TV. I am not a TV fan though. Also, before you said anything about the steps, I took a picture of them thinking those might work far better then the MORyde ones I currently have. They have been my BIGGEST complaint and point of frustration. I carry a folding shovel because even if I drive up on levelers if the back (my door is in the back) is not just PERFECT, I have to dig out a spot for the steps so I can shut my door. I HAVE to do something soon and those look like a great swap out.
We didn’t have a TV either, but I was in my 20’s then and I sat outside at a picnic table in the pouring rain and I liked it😳now I need theater seating and a TV when it rains all weekend😂and I feel your pain because I have the exact same problem with my steps, especially when I camp off grid on uneven ground👍
Love the outside look with the windows. Like the interior. Wish it had blackout Shad’s. The kitchen is nice. Love how big the bath is for how small it is! Thank you josh!
I have 2024 Coachmen Remote 17 R. Love the blue color. Does not feel small at all with all the windows. We do not mind no TV. Sink in kitchen is to small only draw back
Josh, another great review. I love the blue sofa and foot rests are a plus. I'm curious about recepticals in the kitchen area. I didn't really see any. The sink is a disappointment, but then you can always use a couple of tubs. Full size bed is OK. Raise the wardrobes and give a little nightstand top. I like the bathroom. Would rather have the retractable shower door over the curtain.I think you could tuck a small trash can in the bathroom, then pull it out while cooking. I would rather see the old school stairs that fold up under the body. Make it an optional Nike rack. All in all, a nice couple or singles camper. I'm glad to see a real bumper for poop tube storage.
Similar layout to our Gulfstream 19CSK Cruiser but I prefer the rear bath as opposed to our corner one. UVW and Tongue weight are similar but has a 90 in wide body and 23ft length. Nice to have the RV queen.
