Exelant midweight adventure bike, and for me it's the best! Affordable, versatile, reliable and simple. All in all this is a definition of one adv bike, that's it! Well done Suzuki!
Lots of people are doing the same. I got the black and blue kitted US version, and my friends who owns a t7 rode my 800de and is selling it and getting the de. The suspension is phenomenal, retains comfortable nature and tech. Once the aftermarket catches up, the de will have weight saving option for exhaust, battery, decat midpipe etc etc. The t7 is a giant dual sport. The de is a proper adv bike. The biggest downfall for the new 800de is the vstrom moniker. As humans, we have biases, and the past vstroms were not proper offroad adv bikes. More like 80/20bikes. The new 800de blew me away in almost every category, almost.....the looks are trash to me personally. But, I didn't buy the bike to look pretty or attractive. I purchased what I felt was the best all around adv bike for where I live and the routes I do. North Carolina, smokey mountain 500/1000,mabdr, Tail of the Dragon etc etc. If people are able to evaluate the machine without the input of their past biases, they'll be able to report that the 800de is phenomenal in almost every category
@@PisgahGravelProject lol I agree on everything you said and I feel the same on the looks, the beak looks far out from the body . I’m sure Suzuki has the science behind it .And no more than me , also I did not buy it based on looks.Would have kept the T7. Be safe and cover miles my friend.
@@PisgahGravelProject Absolutely agree with what you say about the name of the bike. They should have called it DR Big, or another new name, but never Vstrom, it is not the same type of bike as the previous Vstroms. I think it was a marketing mistake.
17" rear wheel is not a big deal...why does everyone have an issue with it? After all the klr650 has always had a 17" rear wheel and no one ever mentioned it
Good review and nice editing. However, I cant help but grin hearing your voice almost similar to Looney Tunes porky-pig's stutter. No disrespect, I love your reviews by the way. Even subscribed to your channel. Cheers
It feels less top heavy than a T7 and very natural off road. Seems to carry its weight very well and the fully adjustable suspension is really very good for the price point. Suzuki did a great job.
