which degree in the caster block insert? it seems to be the first two removed from the flashing on his bench which would be 0degree, but book setup indicates 2.5degree notch up

I ran a 1mm shim in my b6 and .1 but removed it in the .4. The steering improved on the .4

Hi Spencer, Do you also prefer using the plastic steering and caster blocks on your carpet car or do you use the carbon option?

Ive found the carbon steering blocks a very poor fit for the bearings causing drag

Are you using a weaker hold thread lock or a usual blue one? I've seen a purple thread lock by Permatex that is a weaker strength than blue compounds. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. Enjoying these build videos a lot. Thanks for putting them up.

Normally they use mixture of blue & red..

Imo, even blue is too much for these tiny screws, purple would be a good choice for the screws going into metal, I've also had good results using a paint marker I keep in the box

Def NOT blue/red mix on small screws. Yes guys use a mix of blue/red BUT that’s on larger screws and in very rare specific situations like screws that mount the engine to the chassis in Nitro. Otherwise blue more than enough and a weaker version (purple in this post) is good in 1.5 mm hex screws (like shock piston screws)as they are so small.
