Thanks for having me this was a really great experience! For those considering purchasing this model, the sound truly is awesome. If you're near a Tesla dealership I'd recommend to demo it and check it out for yourself!
Don't test drive a Tesla until you are ready to buy a Tesla :) But then again you have to put an order by Aug 31st to take advantage of 1.99 financing and deliver by end of Sept and with the $1000 referral + $7500 off instant tax credit on purchase now, this RW LR model is such a bargain at $33,999. I ended up selling my 2021 Accord Hybrid for this car and I love it. Personally I live in Texas so I cannot justify the extra $5K for AWD and Speakers.
You guys need to know why the sounnd systems are so good on Teslas... Tesla hired Bang and Olufsen engineers. So their job was to design a non branded high end sound system... this rivals sound systems in high end cars that cost upwards of $12k.. and now you know!
We just ordered a M3 LR RWD for my wife and the sound system was something we really debated. I have a Y AWD and the audio is excellent. This video puts our worries to rest on audio. Can’t wait to get the car in a few weeks!!
@@junaidx yep. Got it a few weeks ago and the audio is just about as loud as my model Y with the subs. Quality of the sound is great. Really not missing much with fewer speakers but saving thousands on price and getting more range.
I agree with both of your assessments regarding the sound system. It is astonishingly good - even better than the 7 speaker system in my Model Y. If you haven't yet, you can give the voice command, "set volume to 11" and it will go past the max volume available on the display. It's LOUD. I have different EQ settings than you, but adjusting the balance slightly rearward is the same. I learned that trick with my Model Y. Thanks again for the videos. They are very much appreciated.
Forgot to mention - you can enable auto trunk opening when you walk up with your phone. I forget where it is in settings. Just walking up to the trunk and pausing for a couple of seconds will make the car chime about 3 times and then auto open the trunk. Simply having the phone on you will do it. Great hands free feature.
i think almost all speakers nowadays are really good for the average person. i feel like once bluetooth speakers came out there was a race to create great sounding affordable speakers
When I spoke with the Tesla rep, and I live here in Michigan where we get snow, they said the Tesla is so heavy, that you don't even really need AWD, because it works perfectly fine in the snow without issues. So RWD is the way to go, snow or no snow.
Bro, you and I are two of the few with this variant of the car so far that's posted videos of the car. I've had my m3 LR RWD ultra red Tesla since 08/09/2024. I agree with you I think the sound quality of the speakers is so good I'm not worried about the extra speakers. Good review.
You were the OG! I watched your video before I picked up mine. Was stoked when I heard how your 500 mile road trip went! Excited to see more of your car.
@@projectMac03 I have a road trip planned for this weekend bro! I'll drop a video soon after! You keep watching mine and I'm going to stay tuned to yours! we are pioneers in this variant!
I got my order in for this version and can't wait, so I appreciate both of ya'll! It's taking a bit longer for the white seats but am hype to get the car
I currently have the 2019 M3 and mine comes with premium speakers but no amp and it still sounds amazing. I could only imagine how good it’ll sound with the amp.
I want to say I was here when you had 100+ subscribers, I wish you the best and keep putting out these videos…I’m ready for a new car might as well go for one of these
idk if anyone said it yet but the thing on the top, by where your camera was mounted and the pillar is, is also a speaker. its supposed to give a surround sound experience
The long range with 17 speakers is insane. Just picked up my ultra red today. In the shop getting PPF and black logos swapped tonight and tomorrow. I will say the SR speakers are great for only having 9 though.
@projectMac03 5K but I'm doing the entire car even though most will say Its crazy. I only did yhe front on my lezus ea ea e350 f sport and it had chips scratches etc on the doors handles trunk etc. Never again.

The Pro sound check for an audio system is 'does it sound live'. Therefore choose acoustic instruments well recorded without production special effects. There are playlists available on a Google check, but a comparison with a track you know well is best, especially if you have heard it live.
I sat in the parking lot and tested both RWD and AWD. Minimal difference in bass which could be fixed by turning the bass EQ up in the RWD. For rock and metal, it was splitting hairs so I saved the $5k.
Great video. I went and test drove the LR RWD because this was a concern, but I was really pleased by the sound. The door speakers really put out some bass. Now there's not much sound coming from the back, since the only speakers behind you are the little ones in the door, but I don't need sound coming from behind me. I prefer a "front stage" sound
$5,000 for speakers and a faster 0-60 😂 I just got one. Same color and everything. Absolutely in love with this car. Congrats and enjoy yours! 100% agree on the subwoofer. Clean and crisp, how it should be. It doesn’t rattle or burble. Just a clean punch that immerses you in the sound.
For those extra $5k you get an extra motor the best sound system and yes a lilts bite less power but you get way more power but even how that trim is like you said is the best for both worlds, enjoy and be safe that thing runs fast
I had the 2020 model 3 rear wheel drive. Sound was nice. I then purchased something to activate the remaining speakers and it really improved the sound. Then I got a 2022 Model Y AWD and finally had premium sound and it was about 30% better than my previous setup because the sub helped with the lows. Now I have the 2024 AWD and the sound is superb. About 30% better than the Y. I really enjoy listening at high volumes. I test drove the RWD LFP 2024 Model 3 and while the sound system was decent there was a clear different from the AWD. The sound was fuller and much crisper. I love my music and for me the downgraded speaker system was a deal breaker. Plus the AWD handled so much better. If money is tight go with the RWD you will love it. Otherwise go performance if the seats don’t bother you.
I read the tesla speakers are Bang and Olufsen…the best speakers i’ve heard in a car were the Alpines in my Jaguar XJ6….it was like being in Carnegie Hall.
I test drove the RWD and changed the music equalizer settings (or tone settings as it's called here) exactly like you did: something like an arrow pointing down. It sounded amazing. I do feel like the LR model sounded better (with the 17 speakers this should be the case at least) out of the box or just felt more like the sound is coming from all over the place. Not worth the money in my opinion.
The doors have 3 each now, 2 subwoofers behind wheel well under carpet ( not the two speaker placements you see when trunk is opened) and 2 external speakers ( 1 under rear and 1 under front of car)
It’s good enough but the 17 speakers definitely gets your body vibrating with the bass. I have a RWD and tested AWD recently for speakers. It’s a noticeable difference for sure.
Hey man great review, I need your opinion in like 2 days, I am on the fence about trading my 2023 RWD for the 2024 LR RWD. How much down payment do you think is needed for someone with a good credit score?
I think this is the best value. The only reason I’m not buying now is because I want to get new Y. But that would be extra +$5k~$10k. I don’t know if that is worth it considering M3 and MY are not that different. 😅
If you want to compare anything versus a 2023 Model Y Long Range AWD in Charlotte, let me know! Fantastic content on this car. Great value with the EV tax credit.
The EQ curve you made is actually a really standard trick in music production. More bass more highs less mids. Although you took it to the extreme, if it sounds good it is good! Hopefully the speakers can handle that without blowing or getting tired over time. Thanks for the video
I’d love to hear a comparison between a 2012 ford fusion with the premium 12 speaker sound system and this version Tesla. The fusion is the best stock radio I’ve heard to date.
5k is for an extra motor, a faster car a slight improved interior and a engineered sound system with double the speakers. For perspective the alpine system costs 3k So yeah the 5k is the real steal.
I'm also leaning toward the LR AWD. At the end of the day it is a Tesla where I don't think they're going to put out a tinny sounding audio system. Think Bose, amazing sound out of one little unit. Are 300 speakers better than 150 speakers? I would think that you could add subwoofers after market later?
I think this video is trying to say RTX 4090 is definitely better than RTX 4080, but most people will never need 4090 and it's probably not worth the extra to get 4090 most of the time.
I've got a 22 M3 LFP and wife has 24 MY Long range 7 seater. Her car sounds much better from a bass perspective. I didn't notice it until I drove hers however in 2022 Long range M3 was another 10k. It's not worth 10k for sure. I like LFP for its longevity.
Hope this isn’t too much of a personal question, but what is your yearly income to afford this Tesla? I make 60k a year and really want this vehicle but it seems too much to spend for me
So the long range rear wheel drive Model 3s are not getting the premium speakers now?? Its hard to even see anything about this on the website. The previous rear wheel drive long range had it included as it was the long range/premium model like this one. Eehh at least it still sounds good.
Many Teslas have already gone over 200k miles on the original battery and have seen around 20% degrade from new. Would you still even have the car in 10 years? Most likely not
@@projectMac03 i stand corrected, you are referring to the RWD which has 9 in contrast with the AWD which has 17 as explained here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q6lSzepLyao.html
