Shiva, First of all, I want to congratulate you on bringing us the latest improvements for our beloved Teslas. I had 3 displays from multiple manufacturers and this one is definitely the closest one to an “all in” on the market As some manufacturers take your feedback into consideration, there is one feature I believe is critical for the display: an audible alert for the blind spot indicator. It would also be great to have the option to turn this sound on /off. In my opinion, alongside future improvements to vent flow management, this would make the display more intuitive, similar to that of a traditional car. Plus, the hardware already exists to support this.
I appreciate everything you do for us Tesla owners! Now that you've tested out multiple instrument cluster displays, which one do you think is the best overall? I know you did a video a few months back but I believe you've tested a couple more after. Overall, is there one you'd choose now?
On the quick mention of the airflow path at around 8:30..... It IS different from the airflow without the display, because the lower groove is where air is directed through to change the height of the path of air that comes out of the main air channel facing the passenger cabin.
I really enjoy your video, thanks. One important comparison you didn't make, how does this model perform regarding airflow, compared to the other model mounted on the steering wheel without airvents? I'm trying de decide which model to choose, and this one with airvents looks a bit ugly and bulky compared to the one without airvents. So does the airvents actually improves airflow at all, compared to the one without it?
If they routed air to the top of the screen, i think it would look too bulky and ruin the simple aesthetic of the Model3/Y dash. I would just make the existing vent farther forward, flush with the front of the screen and angle it upward a bit.
Is there any instrumental cluster like teslogic which can show live blind spot warning (flashing red when car in blind spot)? Other than teslogic product, I did not come across any other instrumental cluster has similar functionality
agreed, without the yoke wheel......also, even though you have air, you cannot control the direction can you? constant air to the face could be really annoying.....I really like the screen but for flow is concerning.....not sure putting it on sides or top would help unless it has som directional control......thoughts?
? i am about to purchase either the Instrument Cluster with air vents or not. My ? to you is there a significant difference in air flow vs one without vents? It looks like the one without air vents is far enough away from the vents that it seems like the air flow would still reach you? Also with the unit mounted on the steering column , being that much closer may be better viewing? Also is it possible to view Waze in full screen Mode? thx in advance KC
The airvent one make a slight difference but not by much. Honestly, the one mounted on the steering wheel looks more integrated and provides literally the same funtionality. I would personally pick the steering wheel version. Thanks.
That's another thing I like about Teslas ; the amount of gadgets and stuff you find to improve/personalize your car is insane. No other car has such a big sub-market.
I think they do, but with the Teslas it’s less general and more specific probably due to the fact they don’t have that many models and people treat them more like a gadget or a phone. There are still tons of car stuff to personalise/improve other EV/ICE cars. I’d still rather have a Tesla though. TBH I think my comment basically just agreed with you, just in a very round about way… lol
I am so excited to get mine. It’s one its way. Question, when Apple has an update for car play, will it update it? Also, do you need to connect a hot spot for the phone to connect? Lastly, when you turn off the car and go back out for another drive, will the car play connect automatically or do you need to manually connect it each time? @@jajacobs2 1. Apple carplay updates automatically 2. Don't need to connect hotspot as long as your phone has data 3. The bluetooth connects automatically after you reenter the car. This feature may glitch sometime. Thanks!
I have the steering wheel mounted 8.8 and I took most reviewers word that it doesn’t block the airflow from the a/c. Now it’s 108 degrees and it blocks the airflow so much I might just take it off till the end of summer. It’s nice this one has vents but I really don’t like how the back of it looks, especially considering I have Abstract Ocean’s ambient lighting in the vent area.
Those steering wheel mounted screen do block airflow. I did the testing in my original video. Even though the 8.8 doesn't block as much as 10.25 ones, it is reduced. This new one still blocks some airflow (as shown in the video) but much better than the others. I don't like the vents in the bottom though, wish it was on top. Thanks.
@@ShivaSapkota thanks for your reviews, they’re very helpful. I did find one little “hack” that helps with airflow, I angle the vent up from the screen and then angle the sun visor down towards my face and that actually helps significantly.
If you turn on the air and it blows in your car, it cools down your car? It doesn't have to be directly on your face to cool you down. Especially on a Tesla you can pre cool it to your preferred temp before you even get in
The air vent from below is worse than with the screen mounted on the steering wheel itself. I recommend that you take the screen mounted on the steering wheel, it is better. And certainly if you put your steering wheel low The AC manages to transfer air from above and this is better than the screen whose vents are below and nothing will reach your face
I could really use your help on the model 3 voice controlled sunshade from Tesstudio. I received a damaged package. No wiring for the product. The company will not send me the harness. I have one very important question to ask are there any audio sync issues with this display unit? As is the case with most third-party displays there is always a audio delay or sync issue can anyone confirm that this is not the case with this unit?
I remember seeing a correspondence from Hansshow once that their policy for firmware updates is essentially “unless a big enough bug exists or function is broken, there is no need/intent to release any updates”. And I imagine the rest of the manufacturers do the same. Just pump out a model every couple months and want you to buy the new one if you want any UI/feature updates.
@@Thebigskullman Yup, basically! I hate it that they don't follow the model of companies like Teslogic or Enhance where they do OTA updates and add massive features.
To do the ota you have to use your phone hot spot but must rename the phone name as car and password 12345678 after that disable Bluetooth after you turn on hotspot I have only tried it to iPhones

The F9 from Hanshow really disappointed me, I have a 2024 model Y and the airflow was absent if anything. All the air just blew onto the steering column, and dealing with Hanshow customer service was a straight up nightmare. They didn’t post my mediocre review. I had to threaten them with a credit card dispute if they didn’t fix my issue.
I bought the F9 and was disappointed in exactly the same way with the AC (the Android Auto doesn't work well either) I replaced it with the Stonic 8.8 model that is mounted on the steering wheel and it is much better in terms of airflow and everything works as it should

@@davejohnson6144the air would not blow into my face, only onto the back of the steering column. They tried to tell me that it’s not advertised to blow into your face, which is the dumbest thing ever. I had to threaten to dispute the charge for defective merchandise before they took any action.
@@davejohnson6144 The F9 is simply bad, the software is not good, the connection of the screen to the air conditioning in the Model 3 is not correct. do not recommend
I finally pulled the trigger to buy it. I am very disappointed with the android auto screen. The screen is washed. The quality of the resolution is awful. Every other screen is perfect with nice resolution. Waze and Google when launched is painful to look at.
I honestly think this screen is amazing but I wish there was better OTA updates. The model Y felt rushed and super low quality compared to the model 3z
Imagine if Tesla woke the f up and just made this standard and not be cheap bastards. That and idiots removing indicator stalks. This guy listens more to owners than Tesla.
