nice product but not for MSRP and not even for the "discount" the big discounts on this indicate it prob a fraction of the cost and high profit margin. I would say $250-300 at most. And i would bypass hanshow and look at ali or temu direct from factory making these and it will prob cost that much. Or just wait until someone gets in contact with the factory in china to knock it off or get same whole sale price to undercut hanshow and offer it for $250-300
We all know that from the factory, something like this would have been an option priced well over $1000. While $479 (with the applied discount) is steep, it really doesn't seem that bad. Fit and finish appears to be quite nice, and I like that there are buttons up front and in the back seat...that's not something that would've come from the factory (more buttons, more cost). It does take up some of the viewable space...but honestly, I've had my car for 18 months and can count on one finger how many times I've driven around looking out the top of the car. 😀 I can, however admit that here in Missouri there have been MANY days when I had to have the AC cranked to get things cooled down...and sometimes, it's nice to just not have the sun visible all the time. Thanks for taking the time to put the video together, very informative.
Appreciate your comment Roger. I have had manual retractable sunshade for a while and didn’t think I need this until I installed it in my car and love the convenience it provides with bottoms in front and rear. Thank you for watching and your awesome support!🙏😃
As you mentioned I noticed this power sunshade actually reduced the noise from glass roof. But only if you don’t turn on the music to notice the difference. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
Do you think some kind of soft felt strip or tape should go on top of the metal bracket or is it far enough from the glass to not hit when going over bumps? Just curious if it could cause tapping noises on the glass while driving over rough surfaces in the road. And great video, thanks for posting this.
The headliner material edge is pushed up at the highest point as it could go when installing this. For that being said, I don’t it could go any higher to reach the glass roof even if you go over the bumps. There is no movement after the installation is done correctly. Thank you for watching! Appreciate your comment! I think black interior is more practical and a lot easier to clean especially when you have family with kids. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
I didn’t actually measure the temperature difference but with windshield covered with this sunshade it makes big different compare to no roof sunshade. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
The sunshade stayed up quite sturdy so I don’t really notice the rattling noise from it. I didn’t actually measure the temperature difference but with windshield covered with this sunshade it makes big different compare to no roof sunshade. Thank you for watching! Appreciate your comment. No matter which way you do, you still need help to spot and align the screw hole on the bracket while another person push it up to put it in place. 2 people would make it much easier installation. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
Swingman is correct. The threads are on the front side of the aluminum frame piece. The way you did it does not lock the brackets to the frame. The screw needs to go through the black bracket then thread into the frame cross bar piece.
I tested it right now and the creaking noise is gone after a week and a half. It’s not gears stripping. It’s noice of the rail expanding as it closes the shade but the more you use it will get to point that everything falls in place and it will stop making that noise. Thank you for watching! Does it do a good job of blocking the heat from the sun or would a ceramic tint do a better job with heat protection? Also, can you see the motor from the outside roof glass? I already have a model 3 with a ceramic tint and was looking at some type of sun shade instead of the tint for my model y but not sure if it's better or not. Thanks
Even with ceramic tint for Model Y in summer I think you still need some type of sunshade for the glass roof. It’s been great blocking the heat from the sun parking outside. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
The rear installation was just slide the metal bars into space between the headliner and glass roof. The space was very limited to show both front and rear parts. The screwing into front metal bars, you just have to push it up to line up the screw to the metal bar. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
Anyone know as to why my delivery date for my M3P changed?? It changed like three times since I put my order in and it used to say May 25th to June 22nd at first but as of this morning it says June 5th to 19th. I got a blue on black. Worst part about all this is I won’t be in the country between these dates so how will I even receive delivery? What will happen to my car?
Appreciate your comment. I have it in my car for a week now and no issue with rattling noice from the sunshade so far. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
I have it on for a week now and don’t really notice the rattle so far. It’s well attached to the headliner. Thank you for watching and your awesome support!🙏😃
Tesla side curtain airbags located on the button of the headliner which is very close to the edge of the windows. I don’t think this will block the deployment of those airbags. Appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏
Appreciate your comment Jake. It’s been a week since I installed this and the cracking noise is less noticeable than the first day I installed it. Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃
@@henrycruz45cal that’s pretty much what I’m thinking too. That’s the problem with all these RU-vid reviewers. They have affiliate links to junk and you can’t get an honest review anywhere.
Appreciate your comment James. The manual retractable sunshade is about $400 and the first version electric sunshade was $700. So I think this V2 with the improved functions for $479 after discount code is not too bad. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
