does the new backplate change the typing sound?

Hellooo!! From what I hear right now when I'm typing on a table with no desk mat is it has a minimal change to the sound that now, it produces a more deeper sound but can only be slightly heard when wearing a headset or earphones. For day to day use, it's indistinguishable. I also can't properly compare to the original audio file as the one I got is only from camera as the recording in the Rode Mic got corrupted. :(
